A red barn has been waiting patiently to appear on the blog
Do you remember a fast food chain that was called Red Barn? I can recall going there when I was a child. In the 80's I was working at a drug store that had a Red Barn within walking distance. I remember going there on my lunch break one day and realizing the food wasn't as good as I had thought it was when I was a kid.

This one is a REAL beauty! And that little hill it is on also adds to the loveliness. I never herd of this fast food place.
The red barn looks great with the green fields surrounding it!
Love that barn and the way the little hill leads to the door!
I wish to visit a a barn some day. Some how, I love the red barn:). Thanks for the beautiful picture.
I love red barns! That one is a beauty!

I don't recall that food chain store name, but I am in love with your red barn photo! It's totally charming!
we have Red Barn Flea Market but never heard of a Red Barn food place.. this is a beautiful barn and looks like it might belong to the Amish... don't you love tripping down memory lane?
Red Barn burgers sound good, I used to visit one a decade earlier. They were 15 cents.
Nope, not heard of a place called Red Barn. I can see why it's no longer open too. You didn't like the food and lots of others didn't either.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. ☺
That's one big red barn! Pretty cool how they built it to fit the slope of the land. I don't remember that chain so it must not have been in KS.
The food probably was better when you were a kid...Great photo!
such a pretty and peaceful looking place. :)
RED is my favorite color for a barn! Gorgeous building and photo!
Perfect red color on a great setting...love it.
I think this is really sharp Ann and sitting on the hill like that with that green grass is beautiful.
I am dully charmed by the red barn you have here, but I do not recall ever seeing the other kind of Red Barn. It looks like they died out around 11 years before I first made it up to your part of the country: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Barn_(restaurant)
What a clever way to build a barn. Barns really should be red, don't you think?
Blessings,
