This is an old post that I know went live a long time ago but somehow reverted to draft back when blogger was having all those problems and posts were disappearing. Since I don't have anything else ready and you all love Duke here it is as written back in 2011
Hello everyone. Today is my day just like the title says. So here's a picture of me inspecting the back yard.
Today was also the day my mom was supposed to have jury duty. When she checked last night though, her number was dismissed so she didn't have to go. She got to stay home with me all day long. She said that even though it was nice to have the day off it kind of sucked because she won't get paid for today now. She only gets paid for the day if she actually goes.
Any way, since it's my day to post whatever I want, I found a really funny video to show you. I hope you like it as much as I did.

Duke is adorable, as always! I've seen that funny video before, and the dog reminds me so much of my Buddy. It sure looks like a Belgian Malinois in the face and the expressions/behavior are spot on! Mine wasn't quite that vocal, but enough to crack us up during a "conversation" with him.
Sorry about jury duty. I wish they would call me! Never have been.

Yay for no jury duty! I've always seemed to get out of it too. The first time I showed up but the lawyer didn't, some kind of family emergency, so they sent us all home. Then a couple months ago they called me a couple days before and told me not to show up because, well, I don't know why. But OK.
Oh Duke, we need to get you some help--fast! For there you are thinking that it is funny to tease a good dog about bacon. Yeah, you have done went and become completely sympathetic toward the one who could have spent the day frying you bacon!
I have seen that video, Duke, and it is hilarious.
