Take a dive

Another archive dive that is.
I've mentioned before that I used to have a cat named Pringle. I was constantly pointing my camera at him and he was the subject of many edits.
As much as I would have liked to have kept him an inside cat, Pringle had other ideas. He loved to go outside. Often he would stay right in the yard but when the cat population started to grow across the street from me he started to wander.

During the course of my learning experience I discovered how to extract subjects from one picture and put them in another. Here I cut Pringle out of the above picture and inserted him into one I found on the internet somewhere.

This one I entered in to our local fair and actually won a ribbon. I think it was second place but I can't be 100% certain on that.

I sometimes wonder if my paparazzi ways and my flair for off the wall edits was the reason Pringle left and never came back. I mean seriously, he used to hide in the dryer just to get away from me.
I really miss that cat. Don't tell Duke I said that though.

Listen to the voices

I really need to learn to listen to the voices more. They aren't always wrong and they don't always lead me astray.
Remember I told you I had started working on a rectangular granny square afghan? Basically throughout the whole thing you are crocheting clusters of 3 stitches skipping a space and then another cluster. In the first round of the afghan as I was reading the pattern it said to do 4 clusters. The voice said "What? that doesn't sound right. It seems to me like it should only be 3 clusters." Well I didn't listen to the voice because I decided that the person who wrote the pattern must know better than me. I did not take in to consideration that no matter how talented one might be there is always a chance of error.
I haven't gotten very far with this.
You may not notice it in the picture but I'm seeing that the ends appear to be wider than the middle which tells me that my voice was right, it should have been 3 instead of 4 clusters. I could rip the whole thing out and start over but I decided that since I most likely don't have enough yarn any way this one is going to be just for practice and I'll make it Duke size.

A letter

Dear Anonymous,
While I appreciate everyone who visits my blog and leaves a comment, I must say that you have me a bit confused sometimes.  Your comment "OMG, do you see whats happening in Syria? In spite of a brutal government crackdown, the manifestations continue " in regards to this post made me wonder if I should have been feeling guilty about hiding out in the house and hibernating for the weekend.
At least when you commented on this post you did acknowledge that it was off topic by saying "I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was wondering what all is needed to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I’m not very internet smart so I’m not 100% sure. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. " I would have gladly given you advice on starting up your own blog but of course you are anonymous and I have no way of contacting you. You are correct though in saying that it cost a pretty penny for my blog and if you would like to send me a few pretty pennies I would gladly start one up for you.
Duke was especially confused when you chose to comment about your cannon ink cartridge (complete with links) on his post. You remember, it was the one when I thought someone was knocking on the door. We don't mind a little link love now and then but we prefer to only give it to people who reveal their identity to us.
Last but not least when we did a little archive diving we really didn't understand why you thought we needed to know testerone without a prescription european pharmacy online pharmacy uk Again, we removed your link because I am not in the practice of giving free advertising to strangers.
So Anonymous, I ask you, are you a real person? Do you read my blog? Do you know how to spell? Will you ever give up this silliness?
Sincerely
Us
And for the benefit of all those who come here in hopes of seeing Duke

Archive Dive, Duke addition

Another dive into the archives to show you some past photo play time. Today though it's all Duke

Duke Duke and more Duke. Now that's a lot of Duke's.

Apparently I was fascinated with being able to blend pictures together.

Breaking a picture up into different segments was another little kick I was on for a while.

Don't worry, Duke was not harmed during the making of that picture.

Last but not least, let me look into my crystal ball and see what is in the future.
More fun and adventures ahead with Duke. That's a darn good future if you ask me.
