crafty overload day 5

The project I have today is a copycat. When Amanda and I were out shopping the last time she saw a sign that she liked. I told her "I can make that." I took a picture in the store for reference.

This is what I designed in Cricut design space.

I then took a bamboo cutting board that I bought at Dollar Tree and painted it white. After coating it with a layer of mod podge I added my vinyl cut out. Sorry about the glare in the picture.

Oh and I also forgot that I added a little bit of antique wax around the edges. There's a story that goes along with that as well. I was doing all the painting on my washing machine. Why? Because it was the biggest cleanest space I had in the basement. I was going well until I knocked over the bottle of antique wax and it poured down into my washer. Let me just say what a mess. All is well though the project came out great and the washer is all cleaned up again

crafty overload day 4

Today's project is another greeting card. This was a free cut file that I found on bearly.art. When I first saw the preview picture of the file I wasn't sure I would like it but I decided to try it anyway. I'm pretty glad I did because I think it's awfully darn cute. This was originally a 4.25"x5.5" card but I decided to add it to a 5"x7" card.

Crafty overload day 3

On a recent Dollar Tree trip I purchased these cute little Easter eggs with bunny ears

Then I got out the hot glue gun and some jute twine and started wrapping.

So far I've only done the one. I was thinking of doing one with some white yarn and maybe some pastel colored  yarns.

Crafty overload day 2

Wow, here it is the first of March already. This is my birthday month so maybe I'll celebrate all month long.

I bought these bunnies last year with the intentions of dressing them up. This is a picture from the website because I was too lazy to go take a picture myself. I only have the white ones.

I have seen several posts on Facebook where people made them look absolutely adorable. Me being me, I never got around to it until this past Saturday. I still have a few of these left to do but here's the first one I think he still needs a little something. I may put a carrot in his hand.

Ah yes, that's better. Now he's done.
