Just another day

Monday January 10th, was just another day in a long string of days. Some days I manage to fill with things to keep me occupied and some days I lay around like a slug and do very little.

On this particular Monday, even though it was cold, the sun was at least shining. Gibbs decided he wanted to spend some time on the back of the couch in the living room.

While he was enjoying the view I turned the tv on and came across a very old show that I have not seen in long time.

I was trying to get the title of the show but missed it. If I had gotten a picture of the main character you would likely recognize him. This was Barnaby Jones. Does anyone remember that show. It starred Buddy Ebsen. It ran from 1973 -1980

I vaguely remember Barnaby Jones, not sure if I ever watched it. I did not watch TV very much, left the TV to husband and sons and I read my books. I do remember Ebsen though from Beverly Hillbillies.. Gibbs looks so cute. I wonder if he wonders why you are home all day,

Gibbs looks like he is dreaming of summer.. I did not watch the show but I know who the actor is.

Yes I do remember watching Barnaby Jones. Gibbs looks a bit sad looking out. I think he may be dreaming of summer.

I watched Barnaby Jones as a kid with my grandma. She loved that show and Buddy Ebsen was a good actor with many different styles of acting.

I think Gibbs is asking you -
"what are we doing today Ann?"

I remember the show but didn't watch it at the time. Funny that I didn't seem to like detective/police/lawyer or any kind of mystery shows until I got into my 30s. A dear friend introduced me to crime and mystery novels...and murder/crime mysteries became my favorites to this day. :)

Definitely remember Barnaby Jones..being of a certain age. That title is pretty scary in its self.
I really enjoyed the old time detective and mystery shows. They were clean, not suggestive and actually had good acting.
Love your pictures of Gibbs.
Some days are definitely "Slug" Days...

Gibbs is his usual adorable self! I always enjoyed watching Barnaby Jones. I still like watching the old detective type shoes when I see them through some of the streaming channels. Murder She Wrote was a favorite and now my son and daughter-in-law have discovered it and enjoy it too. Streets of San Francisco was another one, Banacek, Kojak. Do I love old detective shows? lol! Oh boy, do I?

Awww my dog loves the same spot on the back of the couch! He always finds the sun spots in the house to take his naps haha. I actually just had to have my carpets cleaned because he was shedding so much in the same couple spots. Your Gibbs is adorable!!! Thanks for sharing!

Pups have their favorite places to nap or view the world outside. So precious.

I remember that show. I'm 73 so of course I remember that show.

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

sweet Gibbs, enjoying life and not having a single care in the world. I don't remember this show, but I am not a huge TV watcher.
