A fungus among us

I strolled around the yard with the camera yesterday to see what I could see. The wood pile by the shed was full of things to take pictures of. Ok so I found it fascinating but Wade thought I was a bit strange for taking pictures of this.

I have absolutely no idea what any of these are actually called I just like to take the pictures

This one is kind of pretty with it's stripes

This sort of resembles witch's warts.

I have seen the third one around here. It is sure the prettiest.

I definitely prefer the one with the stripes! Fungus can be kind of cool to take pictures of!

I would be right there snapping merrily with you. I have seen the 3rd one here but not the other 3... I have been know to take toadstool photos by sitting the camera on the ground after asking permission from the lady in her driveway picking up her paper. the toadstools were out in the middle of her pretty grass. she did look at me like she thought I was strange

I think most of us are familiar with the third one - but the others? Maybe not so much.

You must get a lot of rain. Those would all be dead here in this heat.

Have a fabulous day. Tomorrow is a day off. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Isn't it crazy the things that a photographer sees a pic in when others think we have lost our mind!????
