My theory has always been if it's green, it's grass (ala crab grass) and if it is a flower, then let it - flower. And yes, we did use them in salad...but you got to get them new and tender...
AWESOME photos, you have elevated the common dandelion to beautiful art! I, also, love dandelions! They are one of the first cheerful signs of spring. Then when gone to seed, the little children can blow them.
If you like the taste of morel mushrooms, go pick some dandelion buds (before they bust open, of course). Then dip them in a batter of at least flour and milk, and fry them in a fair amount of grease or oil in a pan. Some like to add an egg or two to their batter, but if I remember right, I don't. Oh, it has been way, way, WAY too long!
I dig up the dandelions quick on my garden as they are really hard once they take hold in the veg beds...having said that I love to see them in the fields and hedgerows.

Your first photo is AMAZING! Love it!
I would let them grow too. I had lots of fun with those when I was growing up, just like all the kids do.
Have a terrific Sunday. My best to Duke. :)

If you can't beat 'em, enjoy them! Lovely photos!
Pretty photos! But I'm glad they are in your yard instead of mine, LOL!
I love dandelions! We don't have them here yet!
After that long never ending winter, those dandelions are indeed a welcome site!
I like what you did with your photos ~ very nice!
