I've never been much for running. As a matter of fact I hate running. I don't even like jogging. I do like table runners though. I've been wanting to make one for a while and have one started. I've been working on this one for a couple weeks now. I could have finished it by now but I'm trying to work on it when I'm at my best. Being stressed or tired is not a good time for me to do things that I need to cut carefully and take my time with.
I started with another piece that was embroidered on my machine and then added fabric strips to make it the size I wanted
All I have left to do is sew on those two side strips and then add a backing. If I were to do this over again I would have made two more embroidered blocks. Maybe another project for another time.

So pretty! And I really like the colors!
How lovely! I love that embroidery and the country style!
i can see why you have to be at your best, lots of details to take care of. mother used to embroider by hand and this basket is one she used several times...i remember that one
like what your machine can etch
I can do the treadmill, but I'm not a runner either. I'm more the yoga type.
I love your kind of runner. You are oh so talented.
Have a fabulous day. My best to Duke. ♥♥♥
That is some very intricate embroidery. As you know, I don't understand the use for these kinds of things but I am always wowed that you make them.
Best kind of runner....ever!
Seriously, it's very nice...I love your center floral piece. Can't wait to see it in place!
Great idea! I'm definitely not a runner as well. Matter of fact I have to make myself walk esp if its boring.

That's not a runner, it's a kitty mat! :) It's still pretty!
Love the table runner, Ann... The patterns/colors/fabric you chose is terrific --and I love the embroidered part in the middle is beautiful.

very pretty. As you know, I don't touch anything that involves sewing so I am always in awe of those who do. I share your opinion of running... lol

I love runners too! Both of my girls want holiday runners for Christmas and their birthdays so I'm going to be busy. Two down, six more to go!
I can't wait to see it after it's finished. Please show us!
How did they come to be called runners?
Pretty!
