Any way, the reason for the title isn't because I have the urge to go sing off key on someone's doorstep. It's because of another Christmas decoration I have had for a lot of years. I'm pretty sure these have been around for at least 20 years.
In a way they are a bit creepy looking but yet I still like them.

It looks hand carved, and is very nice. Yet the singers seem to be screaming in pain. The faces are just creepy.
I think people don't carol anymore because of tv, internet, yada, yada, yada. Carolers used to be a joy to hear and something for people to do. I used to lead a group of children in the neighborhood to go caroling every year. Now those children are grown and married, with children of their own. Wonderful memories! xxx

they looked like they are carved of wood, which would make them look a tad creepy, but i like them to... i have never caroled or seen carolers, that must have been something they did in the North. Down in the deep south, that would be Savannah GA and then in KY nary a caroler did appear on the midnight clear... could be it was a big city thing, we always lived in the country
Never had carolers come to the house but we used to have them go from floor to floor in a bldg. I worked in for 21 yrs. It was really neat. Like you, I am not going to be a part of it cause I can't even carry a tune while humming! Great little carolers you have there. Thanks for sharing.

I like them and I love decorations that have been around for a long time.
In this day and age? Out caroling? That belongs to a kinder, gentler (less paranoid) time. We did that when I was a kid - it was fun.
I think we've all seen too much TV to either knock on a stranger's door or open our door to one, singing or not :-) Happy Holidays, Ann.

We've had carolers come to our house and it's pretty fun! I keep hoping they show up this year too but so far, nope.
Hi there, I've enjoyed seeing so many of your little pretty Christmas beauties all week... There are just so many memories which pour out of us when we open and display Christmas decorations... I love the little village. My Mom/Dad had a little village when I was a child... Back then they were uncommon (and not as elaborate as they are now)... I inherited that little village many years ago --but somewhere along the way through the years, I lost it... Sad about that now--since it would be an antique these days...

hi Ann, I think your carolers are classic. I was at a craft show and a lady was selling carolers and doing really good with them. They also had them at the craft mall, so I'm sure we still like the idea.
Before records and radio, entertainment had to be live. And it was fun to invite the neighbors in for a festive drink (the wassail bowl). I know groups that still go caroling to places like nursing homes.
