Men at work

Actually there was only one man working and the rest were all just standing around watching him.

You can't tell in this picture but at one point there was one man down in the hole digging and the rest were all just standing around watching him. These were taken on Monday October 13. I was off that day and got to watch the guys out there working. Of course Gibbs wanted out a million times that day and every time he went out he did nothing but bark at all those guys .

How strange!! Seems they would be helping him dig.

I believe it.. around here we all laugh at how the road crew always has maybe one or two men working and then there are about 6 or 7 (supervisors) standing around talking..

I see that a lot, I think they have to have others there because of the danger of one in the hole, here we have sandy soil and it can collapse in on the one in the hole... and I think they are waiting to do what they do as soon as the hole man is done with his part. who knows.. I see this type thing every where there are people working..

I was right. woo hoo. I asked AI why are there always men standing around a man in the hole on a work crew . this is the first part of the answer
Workers may appear to be standing around while others work due to a need for safety spotters, a requirement for a worker to be on standby for a specific machine or task, or a dependency on another part of the crew or a material delivery. The nature of construction involves many interconnected tasks, so waiting is a common part of the process for the overall project to be completed efficiently.

You'rel ucky to see even one man working. Our roads are contently coned off, with no-one doing anything, or even visible. I wonder what the hole is for.

Same here...we finally got the road re-done in the front of the house and it seems there were 10 men standing around with the One, working!
Maybe take the Gibbers out the front door...
Happy weekend!

I love Gibbs going out and barking at everyone. I'm sure it is the highlight of his day! hahaha!

Our pups would have been the same way with the barking. They loved it! When someone else mowed. Well, the little one maybe loved it more than the bigger dog. Either way, Happy Halloween week and boogie boogie 🎃

Ah Ann - just goes to show that there just may have been too many on the job if only one was working :)!! Hugs

I'm sure the men do work - it just never seems like it!

That is how they work in Georgia - one man works the others stand around looking - lol.

So everyone watches the man instead of helping him. Looks like they are making progress.

That many spotters seems ridiculous, doesn't it?
