Last Monday February 9th, I knew I was going to be alone all day at work. The other girl was going to the Bradford office to cover for someone who is out on medical leaves. I got a call from the bank that one of the checks deposited on Friday wasn't signed. I told them I was alone but the other girl would pick it up the next day.
Tuesday morning, the other girl didn't show up. First I thought she was going to pick the check up before she came to work because I had sent her an email telling her about it. By 10 she still wasn't there and I thought maybe she had gone to Bradford again. I called our manager and she told me that the other girl was out all week on bereavement because her step mom passed away.
I put a sign on the door that I went to the bank and picked up the check. Then I thought as long as I'm out I'm going to stop and get lunch so I went to Arbys.
It was a long week being there all by myself but I handled it and there were no major catastrophes.

Looks like you had it handled, Ann! I remember being alone in the office years ago - the thing that bothered me most was the constantly ringing phone ;-)
Well, good for you! I hated working alone at the plumbing shop...we used to get some weird-dos come in.
hugs

Great job managing everything by yourself. That isn't always easy. I haven't been to an Arby's in years. Is it still good?
I would not like that at all and sitting here dumpster diviing in my considerably ancient brain cells, I can't remember a single job that I ever had to work alone.
My condolences to the girl whose step mom passed away. Working alone would be a little lonely but I'm glad you were able to step out and get things taken care of..
Arby' was a great reward to give yourself. The company is lucky to have you and I know you did well.

It's not a pleasant feeling to be all on your own at work.I hope this week has been more normal.
I'm glad you are fitting in so well at your job. Being alone there could be a bit creepy but you are handling it really well. A little lunch out of your building was a good break for you.

I hope your bosses appreciate you Ann. You went above and beyond this week this week and deserved your Arby's lunch.
You deserve a raise!
That's a long time to be all by yourself! I think you are handling it well, but I hope it doesn't happen too often! ❤️
I remember when you first started working there you weren't sure about it. Look at you now, handling it all on your way. Good for you!!!
So sorry she lost a parent. Glad you made it through the week. I had no doubts. You're a rockstar. You got that done for sure.
You did the right thing. It's lonely working alone, isn't it?
