Some stories just stick with you more than others. The story of Aimee is one of those.
This is a post I've been following on Facebook and it's not a happy one. If you don't want to cry, you may want to skip this post.
The only bright spot in this story is that the two people who were responsible for Aimee's neglect are in custody
Aimee didn’t get the ending she deserved, but she wasn’t alone at the end. The kind people at the Anna Shelter showed up for her, fought for her, and made sure her suffering wasn’t ignored. If you have room in your life to support a rescue, foster, donate, or simply share their work, do it in her name. It’s one way to make sure her story leads somewhere better.

I am so glad these people have been arrested. They likely won't get the punishment they deserve though.
It is appalling how she was treated. Those people should never be allowed to have another animal.

What a heartbreaking story. I just can't understand how anyone can be so cruel and heartless. I am so happy to hear they were caught.
Aimee is definitely a Warrior and amazingly trusting of those helping her. God bless the vets and staff

so very sad. How can people be so cruel? I am glad they have been arrested and hopefully they will pay for their cruelty.
As you know I love animals and this broke my heart. I have been advocating for harsher punishment for animal cruelty for many years. I will keep pressuring my local rep. Poor baby :(
I hope there is a special place in hell for people who are cruel to animals.

Thank goodness I live in Quebec, Canada. The laws are getting very strict about any form of animal cruelty! I think there should be strict laws everywhere regarding this senseless, disgusting and cruel behaviour! :(
That is so heartbreaking, but also a reminder that there are still a lot of loving people in the world. ❤️
