Mums the word

I've always liked mums and they make me think of one of my aunts. She had them planted all the way around her house. I've tried more than once to grow them but my brown thumb has no success with much of anything.
These were at the local park.

i can never center on the best color, I enjoy these denizens of fall, they carry the season into blissful existence.

Even manly men like pretty flowers!

Those are beautiful! I've always loved them too. I bought a couple of small plants a couple of weeks ago. Tiny yellow flowers should be opening later on this week. I have the plants in a rustic twig basket on the front porch.

I almost bought mums over the week-end but decided to wait just a teensy bit closer to October. Love them so much every year.

Mums are my very favorite...of course Fall is my favorite season so maybe that's why I like Mums!
I don't have a lot of luck growing them either...but I'll be buying more and trying again this year!

I love how mums smell - earthy and woodsy rather than perfume-y...

I was tempted to buy some last weekend, but I resisted. I don't have much luck with plants.
