Duke in motion

Last weekend since the weather was pretty nice Duke and I spent a little time in the back yard. While he did some exploring I tried to get a few pictures of him.

There is no getting Duke to look at the camera when he is patrolling the yard. I settle for a shot that isn't a blur.

  1. I can relate to this post...it seems my girlz are NEVER looking at the camera...especially when they are out sniffing and patrolling!! Happy Friday!!

  2. Sweet :)
It is very difficult to get a shot with Sammy looking at the camera!

  3. Action shots are sometimes so much better than posed shots Ann. Duke certainly looks like he's busy checking the perimeter for intruders!!

  4. Sir Duke Conan Doyle is Duke's new title!!! He's a sleuth of the backyard, investigating each and every crevice. And besides, he's just too darned cute!!!

I've been offline for some time now, and I wanted to stop by and catch up on you two....Love the work you're doing on the table topper, and love that you're the cool mom [I also love the reference to a 'mom in the making' at an early age...that's sweet] Oh, and can't leave without mention of your poetry recital!!!! That was really well.........cool!!! I don't think I'd like to be a purple cow either. Just think what Duke would do with me if he found me, a purple cow, lurking in one of the hidey holes!!! I shudder to think.

  5. He was checking out all the smells and determining what critters have been visiting! I love how his tail is backlighted. And you should know that a high shutter speed is always needed for Mister Duke!

  7. It's fun to watch what they're interested in. Cute collar Duke is wearing, but not nearly as cute as him! :)
    Happy Friday!

  11. Makes me appreciate pet photographers. I can very rarely get a photo of my cats even when they are asleep. Cute does photograph well...especially Duke cuteness.

  15. As soon as I pick up the camera Moon comes over to see what I'm doing. He's so nosy. I can still see how handsome Duke is even without a face shot! Hope you have a great weekend!

  18. What a good little explorer he is! Bubba likes to do the same thing in our yard. They have to investigate everything.
