Just so you don't think I've given up already on my big project with the hexagon table topper, I thought I would show you what I did manage to get done.
I have 2 hexagons of each fabric basted to their paper pieces and I still need to embroider 2 more of the muslin pieces. Once that's done I can start putting it together. I may not be moving full steam ahead on this but at least I have made some progress.

This is probably a very silly question, but how do you get the paper out after sewing?

Such a pretty combination of fabrics! English piecing is such a nice hand project and can easily be done while watching TV or listening to music. Have fun with it, sweetie!
