I would like you to meet Presley Johnson, my first granddaughter.
She was born in January and for reasons I won't go into here did not get to see her until just last month. She definitely has her daddy's eyes and the sweetest little smile you ever did see. There's no denying she is sunshine and sparkles all rolled up into one.

She is beautiful! There is nothing like having a grandchild. I just cannot imagine your feelings on that day, it boggles the mind. Deep sadness and grief plus the joy of a new grandchild. You are so strong!!!

Both of my daughters were born (or conceived) (LOL) within days of a great-grandparent dying. Oddly enough, they both ended up with personalities similar to the great-grandparent that died. I don't know if it will be that way with your little granddaughter, but although a Christian I'm not convinced that some spirits, for whatever reason, might recycle a few times.

Well Presley and Wade aren't blood relatives so I doubt she'll have his personality.
For the longest time I didn't think there were going to be any grandkids from either of mine.
Yes, there were definitely highs and lows that day. I hope I'm able to also.
