Every morning I leave for work and I look at the Forsythia on the side of my house and think they are out of control and I need to trim them when I get back home.
Every afternoon I get home from work and look at the Forsythia and think it's not going to happen today. One of these days I do need to get out there and take care of them because they really are out of control
We have a tiny one in our front yard, maybe this size? This one doesn't look too big, how many do you have? Does yours bloom? If not, it does need trimmed.
isnt it odd that we can say this about jobs like this one, but if we say we NEED to creat a post or play with cricut, or edit photos, we do it right away..... me thinks it has something to do with the word work..
Mine is going crazy too, but I'm afraid to cut it back. It never has been much of a bloomer in the spring and I thought that if I didn't cut it back it might bloom fuller next year. Do you know the answer to that?
Just get in the habit of walking around your property about mid-October, Ann, with shears in hand... and trim everything back that needs trimming. I'd leave this alone until then, as now is not a real good time to trim. This plant is gorgeous and radiating her loveliness in the summertime. :) ~Andrea xoxoxo
You can do it when you feel up to it. I think when you work full time you need to take care of yourself first. I use to do for everyone and do everything. Now that I am retired I do for me, not because I am selfish but because I want to stay happy and healthy. :-)

They will still be there when you're ready. 😊
As Scarlet once said..."after all, tomorrow's another day".

I trim mine back in the spring but not again through the yr. I know some folks like them nice and trimmed and I like them all over the place!!
It does grow like crazy but not something that has to be at the top of your to do list! Have a good week sweet friend!
It can wait. Take care of yourself first!
After work you hardly feel like doing anything. Oh wait, today is your day off. Maybe today?
Have a fabulous day off, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I say that about the weeds around here :) It will get done eventually but in the meantime... ;)
