A week in the life of an unemployed old lady

This is not the typical week that I have had but this one had more than just repeating I got up, I ate, I watched tv. This is another post that is being written on February 27th and scheduled.

2/23 Sunday: It's time to file the weekly certification for my unemployment. I'm finally feeling comfortable with doing it and no longer screwing it up. Other than that I stayed home all day. I had gone to Walmart the day before and enjoyed the warmer weather.

2/24 Monday: I spent the day working on March's happy mail card. I also cut some fabric out for a sewing project I wanted to do. Around noon I went to visit Amanda. She's home because she had surgery on her hip the week before. She's doing good and recuperating nicely at home.

2/25 Tuesday: I worked on the sewing project. I promise there will be pictures in a future blog post. Then I went to meet 2 of the girls I worked with for lunch. It was nice chatting and catching up.

2/26 Wednesday. Hair cut at noon.

before

and after

Afterwards I headed to Meadville Pa to check out a new discount grocery store that went in. Wasn't impressed and the prices weren't that much lower than Walmart. Then to Joanne fabrics. They are going out of business. Most items were 20% off which wasn't that great considering their prices were high to begin with. Then I stopped at Walmart and Dollar Tree. After that it was back home. Would you believe I did all that and the only pictures I took were the ones of my hair.

2/27 Thursday: Nothing planned for the day so it was a lot of playing around on the computer and writing blog posts. Girls night that evening. Can't say how it went because as I write this I haven't gone yet. I also got a call from Walmart to go in for an interview. I scheduled that for Friday.

2/28 Friday: Now I'm just telling about tentative plans because I'm writing this all on the 27th. I have an online meeting early morning for unemployment. I can't wait to get it over with. 2:30 in the afternoon is my interview. I really do want to go back to the store when the new owner opens but I'm getting to the point where I don't want to burn any bridges. If I don't do this interview would Walmart even consider me in the future if something happens.

3/1 Saturday. Moving into my birthday month now. It's time to start celebrating. Nothing planned for the day though.

Ann guess what the fear of boredom is called thaasophobia, who knew? Ann I enjoyed your weekly review and I like your hair cut.
You are ready for spring. Looking forward to the sewing project.
I have TOLD myself I WILL finish crocheting the scarf I started in the fall. We are expecting high gusty wind and rain starting
around 9 til 1pm. Be glad when that is over.

Oh! That's exciting that you have an interview at Walmart AND you may have an opportunity at the grocery store. Smart to keep them both in action while you wait for the right opportunity. Your hair looks nice!

Did Amanda get hip replacement? Gosh, she is young for that! When will you know how the Wal-Mart interview went?

I'm glad Amanda is on the mend. Great news.

I know you're going to do fine on your interview. I hope you can return to the store when it reopens.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

They would be foolish not to hire you at Walmart. You'd be a good employee. It feels good to get a haircut - right? Cute. Glad you have Gibbs. Glad that you have unemployment. Happy Early birthday!
