More craft time and in my back yard

I made another fabric basket. This one is even sturdier than the second one I made. I think it's because of the fabric I used. This one I'm going to use for Presley's Easter basket.

Then I wanted to add a new item into the mix with all the things I've been sewing. I found an svg file for Aldi's quarter holders. I had some faux leather that I had gotten at Dollar Tree a long time ago and never used. It's not the prettiest but at least I found a use for it. I also tried making one using craft foam.

Anyone who shops at Aldi's knows how important it is to have a quarter on hand for the shopping cart. These don't require any sewing. I cut the foam and the faux leather on my Cricut machine and then they are hot glued together.

In other news, they've begun digging out behind my house. It looks like they aren't going to waste any time getting going on this project. The day they did this they only dug a few holes across the property and they haven't done anything else since.

quarter holder is handy, does it come with a reminder to put another quarter in it after using it? ha ha. my question today is, do you have a viewyou can watch the construction from inside? or do you have to go out to take photos. you know I have tons of construction machines taken from my front window

It's interesting watching construction. I hope it's not going to restrict your view too much.

Those quarter holders are a good idea! My friend and I were at Aldis last week and there were several baskets in the parking lot so we grabbed them!

The quarter holder is such a neat idea. and you are right...everyone needs to have a quarter on hand. So the digging has begun. You will have to share the progress from week to week.

Never been to an Aldis, so I automatically thought of a quarter for the pay phone...like we used to always need a dime for it when we were kids. If you went out on a date you were supposed to always have a dime in your shoe so you could call home if you needed to. These days it would be a quarter, I think--but where would you find a pay phone--lol! I realized I am quite old. ;)

The Easter bag for Presley is darling, and she's going to love it! Those quarter holders, what a great idea! Interesting about all the digging. I wonder what they are going to put there?

Way to go on making more crafts. The basket is really cute. I pray that things will be okay with the new building not to far from your house.

It will be interesting watching what gets built there.

I love that basket you made for Presley.
I don't know - what are they building behind you?

I love the fabric you used for Presley's Easter basket...I never shop at Aldis...not even sure where one is. Have in the past, but about all the shopping I do is at walmart because they have everything and my time is limited.
