Butterfly

I had purchased a pink t-shirt some time ago and finally decided I would put something on it. I picked a butterfly design.

Let me just say that this design was a real pain to weed. All those little pieces that had to be removed had my eyes going buggy. Then when I went to iron it on to the shirt the flowery side didn't want to stick. I wouldn't take no for an answer though. I probably over ironed it but it's now stuck to the shirt. Whether or not it will stay stuck is another story.

Not the best picture but you can get the idea

Week 43 drawings.

Here we go on another weeks worth of drawings.

This guy just makes me smile. I also did one of him in Procreate

This one I did in Procreate and I've already posted it.

Another one that I did on paper and in Procreate.

Sew what do I do with it all

When one keeps on sewing, one needs something to do with all the things she makes. I already told you that I took a bunch of stuff to my DIL's beauty shop for her to sell, I told you about the RAK thing and quite a few of you saw that I did a giveaway on Facebook.

This was what I gave away on Facebook

I've continued to make these even though I've got way too many sets. They're easy and I can do them all without even having to look at directions anymore.

You'll notice on that top set there are 5 pieces instead of 4. I found a pattern for a chapstick holder.

I also did another RAK drop. This time it was at Walmart. When you're going in to the store they have a place to grab a wet wipe to wipe down your cart. I left a little package on top of that. I hope whoever found it liked it.

Out in the yard

I can't recall who it was that posted something about going out and playing with the camera and taking random pictures. I did remember to go out and do just that though.

This may not have been on the same day I went out to play but I wanted to include it. I didn't notice it at first but there was a light that got caught in between the branches of my tree.

Clouds are always good to take pictures of.

The forsythia on the side of my house have gotten way out of control. The last few years a guy who was a customer at the store has taken care of trimming them for me. We had talked about cutting them all the way down. He stopped the one day and we discussed it some more. The next day he came back and had them all cut down. He even hauled away all the branches. He said these will grow this year but this should keep them from ever getting as huge as they were before. That works for me.

Cant tell much from the picture but it's concrete.

Last but not least. This is the gravel that is just outside my back door. A few years ago the guy who mows my lawn put this there for me because I needed something that would keep the mud down that Gibbs was tracking in the house all the time.

A little Easter decorating

This is going to be a lot of pictures for one post but I want to just clump it all into one. So here are the Easter decorations that I've scattered around the house.

The bunny and egg were new purchases this year. I found them at Dollar Tree and thought they were both too cute to pass up. They were more than $1.25 though. One was $5 and the other was $3.

It was a thought

Because I have done so much sewing and have way more than I can use for gifts I decided to post my stuff on Facebook and offer it for sale. There were a lot of comments about how nice everything was and what a great variety I had but no comments saying they wanted anything. I packed everything up and took it to my daughter-in-law's beauty shop. She sent me a text that evening and said that she had already sold three items.

Whether this stuff sells or not, I'll continue to make things because I'm enjoying doing it. I think I'll also do more of the random act drops and maybe even offer giveaways. I need to start looking for some other items I can sew though.

Procreate art

Here are the most recent things I have drawn in the Procreate app

Easter is coming so there had to be an Easter bunny. The first three are all ones that I drew in my sketch book as well. It's fun to see the difference between the ones I draw on paper and the ones I draw digitally.

I love this quirky bird.

take it for a spin

Some time ago I purchased an Ocedar spin mop and bucket. I love this thing.

The mop head is removeable and can be washed. You put it in the water on the one side of the bucket then put it in the spinner side to spin the excess water out of it.

Lately the bucket's spin mechanism hasn't been working too well. Sometimes it will spin fine and other times not. I looked into just buying a new bucket but they all came with the mop. Then I discovered that you could purchase replacement mechanisms. I found a pack of 2 for just under $6 dollars on Amazon and ordered them. When they came I was surprised that it was just one small piece. I was expecting the larger piece as well. I was skeptical but tried it anyway.

It was super easy to replace and now the bucket works like brand new. I really didn't want to have to go back to the old sponge mops I've used in the past so I was thrilled that this one was fixable.

You can also purchase replacement mop heads for this which I did shortly after purchasing it. Now I have several that I switch out for washing.

Week 42 drawings.

I'm currently on week 43 and yesterday filled my third sketch book. I never imagined when I started this that I would have kept it up for this long.
