Out in the yard

I can't recall who it was that posted something about going out and playing with the camera and taking random pictures. I did remember to go out and do just that though.

This may not have been on the same day I went out to play but I wanted to include it. I didn't notice it at first but there was a light that got caught in between the branches of my tree.

Clouds are always good to take pictures of.

The forsythia on the side of my house have gotten way out of control. The last few years a guy who was a customer at the store has taken care of trimming them for me. We had talked about cutting them all the way down. He stopped the one day and we discussed it some more. The next day he came back and had them all cut down. He even hauled away all the branches. He said these will grow this year but this should keep them from ever getting as huge as they were before. That works for me.

Cant tell much from the picture but it's concrete.

Last but not least. This is the gravel that is just outside my back door. A few years ago the guy who mows my lawn put this there for me because I needed something that would keep the mud down that Gibbs was tracking in the house all the time.

The light in the tree looks pretty cool. My forsythia has already turned green now. It's going to need a good trim this fall.

It is interesting how the light almost seems to penetrate through a small portion of the tree. It is fun to just go out with a camera and take pictures of different kinds of objects.

The light in the tree is trying to tell you something . . . Interesting photographs - it's good to really look at things.

Ann what a great photo of that light in the trees. Your pictures of the sky are lovely too...good subject to paint - looks like you have some good friends who are helping you out with your garden and yard tasks. Take care and have a wonderful day friend. Hugs!

You know from my post lately, that there is always something that needs doing outside. Over the years as I age and deal with Fibro, it is getting harder to keep up inside and outside. With that said, two days working outside, and I was down for two days. Then the 3rd day I was in Nashville. Today the struggle is, outside play or inside clean? I have laundry to do, dishes to load in dish washer, pick up stuff and so on and so forth but outside (and it's a nice cool day) is a great time to work outside. But, with that said, most of working outside is best done after the dirt and spreading is done in the yard and the retaining wall built. BUT....its still calling my name.

Our yard is a week patch in many places. All the rain. Hubby is slowly getting it cleared out.

Love all the shots and spring is coming. Pretty soon you'll be posting the colors of your yard.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥

The happy accident with the light caught in the tree was fun.
I love clouds too. Great idea to keep the bushes trimmed near the house and OMDs the gravel looks very pretty and served a purpose.
Just got back from getting our hair cut

It sure does look like that light was in the middle of that tree!

I'm happy that you got outside and enjoyed taking photos . . . Sometimes taking random photos make some of the most mundane things become interesting. Your cloud pictures are beautiful:) not the clouds are mundane, I love looking up at the sky and remember when I was a child laying in the grass and looking at the clouds and trying to decide what objects I could find in their shapes. Did you do that when you were a child?

I love the yellow they produce and hate how fast they go to green. Love me photography walks. I do that alllllll the time. Did it again this morning. Froze my nuts off.
