Yummy Stuff

I confess, I have a sweet tooth. I try not to keep too much in the house because I just have no self control when it comes to yummy stuff.

In the past I've made 3,2,1 cake in a mug. I actually still have some of the mix left. You mix an angel food cake mix with any flavor of regular cake mix. Then when you want a treat, in a mug you put 3 tablespoons of the mix, 2 tablespoons of water and microwave for 1 minute.

I had a craving for apple crisp so I went looking for a single serving recipe. I found this one.

It was edible but it really didn't fit the bill. I probably won't make it again and I didn't even remember to take a picture of it.

Then I found this one for a brownie in a mug.

It was definitely tasty. It was a bit on the gooey side but it could be because I didn't wait for it to sit at all. I just dug right in. It's not the prettiest looking dessert but it hit the spot.

Last but not least was a little experiment. I had a can of the refrigerated croissant rolls. I popped them out of the can and before rolling them up I added a little yumminess to the inside. Half I spread with a cinnamon flavored spreadable cream cheese and the other half I spread on some raspberry filling. Both versions were very tasty.

And this, is why I can't lose weight.

I am going to try the cake mix idea! My doctor told me that it is impossible to lose weight after you are 70, which I am over considerably. Unless of course you use some kind of drug. So I just need to stop trying so hard and just concentrate on not gaining any more. But even that is hard!

That first one looks quite good.

Those look really yummy, Ann. Before I became diabetic (10 years ago now), I tried some of the "cake in a mug" things & they never turned out for me. But maybe the recipes are more refined by now. I'm guessing I tried them when the idea first came out. ~Andrea xoxo

that is my addiction, sugar. and like alcohol, the more we eat/drink the more we want. look for a recipe that is sugar free, I had one but no idea where it is. and Ginny's doctor has no idea what he is talking about, I was 73 when I started my sugar free diet and I lost 70 lbs and just lost 7 more at age 80.
I wonder what would happen if you took a small amount of brownie mix and cooked it in a mug

those croissants look very good and how simple they would be to make. I never think of things like this, but I've made a mental note for the next time I am craving sweets.

They all look good! I love to make goodies but rarely do because I can't leave them alone!

I ask myself the same question - just after I've eaten a whole bag of Maltesers.

Those crescent roll ideas are perfect. I sometimes made them when we had bible study here at our house. Quick and easy.

Those goodies in a mug is great so you can't eat too much of a good thing. :)

I like how you experiment with things. Those croissant rolls look and sound wonderful. Brownies are my go-to if I have a craving. I love those.
