I have lots of post it notes all around my work area.
I recently had to put a new one up to remind not to make the same mistake I made on Monday Nov 17th. I was closing a loan and the customer came in early. I went through the signing with him, handed him his paper work and a check and he was out the door. That was when I realized I forgot to get his income verification. I ran to the parking lot to catch him before he left to ask him for it. He told me he didn't bring it with him. Even though on the phone I told him I needed his ID and income verification. He said it would drop it off later that day.
Half hour before the end of the day he still hadn't brought it. I called, full voicemail so i sent a text. Next morning I emailed my manager and told her what happened and she gave me suggestions on what to do. He called that day and said he would be in either the next day or Thursday. By Thursday he still had not come in. I sent him another text letting him know it was necessary for compliance. He called Friday morning and said he would be in. Finally he did show up with it and I could breathe a sigh of relief. My manager said if I didn't get it by the end of the month then I would have to let the VP know. what had happened.
Needless to say I have a new post it hanging up now.

That was an unpleasant, gut-churning experience. I'm glad it resolved properly.
So glad he came in and this ended up being in your favor. Those little notes really are helpful.
Well learning often requires mistakes but OMDs I know you really really didn't want to call the VP. WHEW

Ibet that was stressful! Especially since the customer didn't seem to be in any rush now that he had his check!
What anxiety you must have had!! So what are these loans? Is this actually a loan company or a credit union?
WHEW !!! Those kind of things can be so haunting. I'm glad it worked out and that reminder will sure help.

What a relief! I’m guessing you won’t need a post-it note for this one. Incidents like this one are so scary, but you are one of the most conscientious people I know. They are lucky to have you. ❤️
That had to feel so stressful. I am glad he finally did show up and take care of it all. He sure took his sweet time.
