When AI inherits everything

The following post was written by Bing's copilot. It was inspired after I read THIS POST on Jean's blog cheerfulmonk.com

I recently read a comic that stopped me in my tracks: "I asked A.I. to write my will and now apparently I'm leaving all my money to A.I."

It’s funny because it’s almost believable. In a world where algorithms help us shop, date, and even write our emails, why not draft our wills too? But the punchline hits harder when you realize how much trust we’re placing in machines—sometimes without reading the fine print.

I imagined a smug little robot polishing its new yacht, sipping synthetic champagne, while I sit in the cloud (not the digital kind) wondering where my estate went. It’s a cautionary tale wrapped in humor: AI can assist, but it shouldn’t inherit.

So here’s my takeaway: Let AI help you brainstorm, organize, and even draft—but when it comes to your legacy, make sure a human (preferably one with a law degree) has the final say.

my takeaway from this, is I want that robot in the graphic to come down here and BE THE CAREGIVER and let me play on my computer..

PS I have no estate to worry about, so that really doesn't fit my life.

AI is a bit scary to me.

OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my word Ann. That is just scary.
I'm not at all confident in AI ...I worry about all the humans who will eventually be replaced by it.
AI does a great job of dressing Gibbs to the 9's

AI Scares the crap out of me! It's getting harder and harder to tell which is AI and which is an actual human!

AI is scary. At some point you won't know what's real or not real.

Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to handsome Gibbs. ♥

Oh my gosh. Funny, yet a warning. I love your cute, now rich, robot! and it is true. We can use A.I. for our benefit but should never trust it.

I'm right there with the rest of the bloggers. Its fun but really scary. Its hard to know what's real and what's not.

AI has always scared me. Even the algorithms that track us online scare the heck out of me. Even my new watch has twice been listening to what I was talking about to Leah and broke in with information I didn't ask for!!! AWK!! My watch is listening to me!! What is the world coming to?

AI is a bit scary, because any technology can be used for good...or evil. We can only hope it will be used for good, but we know this is wishful thinking, as it will be used for both.

I agree with the others AI is a bit scary!

Noooo, I would NEVER let AI write ANYTHING for me. That's a hard pass and big no! That said, I have no problems if other enjoy it and use it for their writing.

I love Billy Graham and taught my kids about him - and then Kelly came down yesterday and said, I don't believe I like him. He is talking about this and that - that isn't true. We looked it up - it was AI generated - sounded and looked like him but wasn't. I think that is so incredibly sad.

I have not and don't plan to try AI. It really scares me and like I've said before, I worry about James growing up with that.
