Just one week ago, it was Friday the 13th. I've never thought it to be a particularly unlucky day. But I did find it rather unlucky to have to scrape frost off my window before heading to work. And the temperature was surely not on my side either.
In the above picture I thought the headlights shining on the forsythia bushes made it look like they were on fire. That would definitely be bad luckThen I got to work. As I was sitting there a police car went racing by with sirens blaring. It pulled into the plaza parking lot across the street.
I don't know what was going on but that was also bad luck for someone.

Very interesting to see your Friday the 13th photos Ann. My mother’s uncle refused to get out of bed on Friday 13th, it was a family joke. This was an uncle I loved dearly. It was no joke for him, a definite phobia. We, on the other hand, received wonderful news about a close family member after undergoing 6 months of chemo. It’s been a very scary time but now the relief is like a cloud has been lifted. I will always think of Friday the 13th a little differently now :)
they do look like they are on fire. it was your lucky day, not fire and no cop pulling in behind you... yay
Yes...interesting photo of the forsythia and the head lights. I've never really thought of Friday the 13th as being an unlucky day...I think this day is rooted in superstition and did you know that Friday the 13th actually has a name? triskaidekaphobia. lol.
It's good to be safely inside when law enforcement is active!
I'm glad you escaped it all!
I agree somebuddy had a bad day...
Hugs and Happy Spring

Well Ann our Friday the 13th was very windy but we were blessed because our electric remained on. Unfortunately for many that was not the outcome. I believe as of yet today there may still be some residents without lights and all the amenities that make life work. Hope today is a good day for you. Hugs!
Great blog fodder and pictures! Especially of the forsythia. 😊
I really had forgotten about Friday 13th. Not superstitious but I love how you wound the day into the 13th !
Love the "fire" Forsythia.

Burr! True, it does look like a fire. Hopefully things were okay with the police showing up. Have a nice weekend.
Definitely bad luck for somebody over there.
Glad you were not involved.

Yes, someone had a bad start to their day! But your forsythia is so pretty.
