Looking back

Taking a look back....

One year ago around this time I was doing some crocheting and sewing

This year I haven't been doing any crafting.

Two years ago around this time Duke and I were snuggled in on the couch reading a good book

This year I do all my reading on the kindle and Gibbs can't sit still long enough to share a book. He does however like to chew the pages.

I've got a new schedule at work so I'm a little off right now. I'm working on Sundays and have Mondays off. This is going to take some getting used to

Hi Ann, you're not alone...looking back I can see I did a lot more crafty things last year too! Oh well. I'm sure Gibbs will learn to love sitting with you reading a good book sooner or later ;-)
Oh no, working Sundays is a bummer.

So does that mean you have Sat. and Mon. off. That will be a little strange. Hope it works for you.

Ugh, a new schedule is bound to keep you confused as to what day it is.

I miss our buddy, Duke. I'm sure Gibbs helps with the pain of memories though. Christmas ought to be really fun with a puppy around!

I get too much done on Sundays, like eat and eat more. Hope you are prepared for the holiday. I had a sweet potatoe dinner roll recipe to try and someone oven baked my taters I was going to use into fries.

Awww, sweet Duke! I still have his magnet that you sent me, and I put it on the fridge. People ask who is the cute dog. Gibbs will settle down when he is out of the puppy stage. I would think that Monday is better to have off than Sunday. Because all the stores and offices are open!

P.S. I only now thought....why did they change your days off; is it just for the holidays?

This year sure did go fast! Nice to see the pic of Duke. I think you'll like your new work schedule. Back when I worked at the print shop, we were always off on Sunday and Thursday. It was nice having a weekday off so I could meet various appointments and such that I couldn't do on a weekend. It will take some time to get used to though.

You know how I love Duke. Always will. Gibbs will settle down at some point. You'll see.

Breaking up your days off doesn't sound like a good idea. I'm just saying.

Have a great day. My best to Gibbs. :)

Chewing on Kindle pages might not be good for his teeth. Oh, and by the way, NO CRAFTING ON MY BIRTHDAY! YOU HAVE AN INCREDIBLE CAKE TO BAKE!!

Things sure have been changing around there. We miss Duke but Gibbs does make us smile. It'll be nice having Monday off but it'd be better if you didn't have to work Sunday! :) (I don't like to work!)

Split days off? That's not so rejuvenating...Temporary I hope?

It's good to see that sweet boy Duke's face! It must be strange to be off on a Monday!

How we miss Duke...but Gibbs is such a doll face too. Can't help but love 'im!! A book chewer huh?

I'm not sure I'd like working on Sunday. That WOULD take a lot of getting used to for me.

As long as Gibbs doesn't take to chewing on the Kindle!

Duke looks so cute there while you were reading. I had to chuckle about Gibbs not sitting still long enough to read and how he likes to chew the pages, that's a puppy for you.
Happy Thanksgiving.
