First, after thoroughly caffeinating myself I headed in to the smallest bedroom in my house to work on cleaning out junk. That room has no bedroom furniture in it and it's become the drop site for anything that doesn't have a place to go. It's also where I store all my craft show stuff. I've been working on it for several days doing just a little bit at a time. Yesterday I filled an entire garbage bag plus I have a box filled with stuff to give away (if I can get my daughter to take it)
Feeling accomplished I rewarded myself with a little craft time.
I bought these seriously cheap but cute Valentines
and I used them to make these Valentine treat bags
Then when I finished those I made some little crochet hearts to attach to the mini clothespins for bag clips

Work does get in the way doesn't it? Super makes though Ann.
They are so cute! And NOW you will have more room for additional craft supplies!
Those came out really cute Ann! So glad you had a little fun after cleaning!
I laughed remembering those treasured Valentines when I was younger and wanting to save them and my custom box forever
Those are just terrific. What a cute idea. Have a great day.
you go girl! caffeine always helps! lol I need to do more of the cleaning out myself. we did drop off two bags of items to Goodwill. this past weekend we finally finished putting all Christmas away. now I'm ready for spring!
your hearts are so cute! and those bags take me back to Kyle exchanging Valentine's with school friends..so sweet.
when should I expect my treat bag in the mail??????? I am doing the same with my spare bedroom/office. the closet is almost done. yowsa.. I deserve a treat... you did great on your day off... I love the idea for the cheap valentines. the bags are adorable.
I have been saying that for eons - folks who moan about clutter and being unorganized - a little at a time. Even if it's one drawer at a time. Keep at it and keep reminding folks it's not that hard. I do so love the crocheted hearts - I love how you always find little buttons and doo-dads to make things special. Some folks are going to be so lucky this Valentine's Day. I hope someone does something special for you.
My, what a lovely way to give someone a treat . . . the bags are a great idea and the hearts are adorable. What a talented bogging sister, I have:)
Have a great day, we woke to more snow this morning. Will Spring ever get here?
Connie :)
Decluttering is a fun thing to do. We've been doing that around here for a very long time. It's never ending too. You think you are done just to find another spot that seems cluttered. I think mail is our biggest issue. We shred our addresses and that tends to pile up. It's not like we're not in our office every day.
I love the bags and the hearts. So cute.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Man, what a coincidence; I have a room just like yours that I have been working on a little bit each day. Good for you, you will get it done. I have faith in you.
And I love your valentine treat bags and crochet hearts. You are so creative. I'm sorry you have to go to work...I know how it feels when you get a burst of inspiration and you cannot use it.
It's hard being an artist. In any event, I hope you have a great day!
What adorable treat bags, love them Ann! And do you hire out by the hour because I have several rooms here that need cleaning out! Deb xo
