We've got this thing to go to on Saturday and we have to take a dish. I can't decide what to take. I thought maybe cupcakes. Then I thought about a past salad that I recently made that was pretty good. Other options were jello fluff and deviled eggs.
So if you were going somewhere and had to take a dish, what would you take? Your answer doesn't have to be any of the above choices.

Deviled eggs are always good, but way too much trouble. I think cupcakes, they don't even need flatware and everyone loves them. Or maybe a pie. I adore how you decorated the women's hats!!! Too cool!
Last time we went to a party I took a dump cake from The Pioneer Woman. It was REALLY good and everyone loved it! Plus it was super easy to make!
i hate to cook so my thing was always deviled eggs or jello fluff, more fluff than eggs... I made my fluff with sugar free jello and the diabetics loved it. when I was working, my team knew me well, they always assigned me to bring the drinks or the chips
I get invited to dinners, parties etc strictly for my desserts. No one is interested in my company they are just interested in my lemon bars, chocolate cake and spice cake *sigh*
Whatever is the easiest is what I would do. I like the cupcake idea, but it's really not a dish is it. What is your signature dish? That's what I would bring.
Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
I think a salad would be great to bring. I usually bring a caeser salad to my bowling pot lucks. Since I've been making the chicken provolone casserole a lot recently I would bring that!
Cupcakes are always fun and easy to put together.
I've never been in that situation. I used to make jerky, and I made it for parties before. But even though most everybody seemed to like it, I'm not so sure it was the most appropriate dish.
It depends on how many people are there but I'd take a super easy apple salad called Caramel Apple Salad. It's a hit around here and it's healthy too! It's a box of instant sugar free butterscotch pudding mixed with a 20 oz can crushed pineapple. Then add 6-8 (or however many you want) chopped apples. Once all mixed, stir in a container of Cool Whip. Easy peasy and yummy!
Is a cooler full of margaritas considered a 'dish'>
Then, bring on the dip/salsa, and tortilla chips.
The dishes you chose will all be a big hit I'm sure!
Sometimes for our daughter's bbq's I will make a tri-color pasta salad with cheese, cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, dressing, etc. And baked beans... usually canned variety that I might fix up with some sauteed onions and/or brown sugar. I also make a good onion dip that's uses sauteed onions cooked with ancho chili powder. It's a variation of a Barefoot Contessa recipe. We usually take a watermelon, too.
