Today is the day that I keep my bank account in the black by NOT going out and hitting the stores for all the sales.
While most people would show you a beautifully set Thanksgiving table with happy friends and family gathered around I'm going to show you another side.
I give you the table after everyone is done eating
and the carcass of the poor turkey who gave his life so we could share our feast.
After my daughter and her boyfriend left, Wade retired to the man cave for some football and nap time. I pulled out the new Christmas tree and put it up. Still not decorated but I've got a sneak peek at the branches
This tree wasn't a very expensive one but it's much smaller which is what I wanted. I think I'm going to have way too many ornaments now.

What a cool twist, seeing the table afterward! I hope you had help in cleaning up!
Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I won't be shopping today either! I love your new tree. It looks very full.
I love it, my first ever viewing of the After of TG dinner. looks like everyone enjoyed that carcass a lot. woo hoo on a new tree, pile those ornaments on, the more the better... the worst part is over, putting up the tree. or it is the worst part for me. I don't mind the ornament hanging but getting the tree up is on a chore list. i am betting you are haning ornaments right now while i type. i had today post on for 1 pm and it did not post. just gave it a nudge your way
I finished my shopping by 8:30am - still in my jammies. Y'all really liked that turkey LOL
HAHA...great look at Thanksgiving from that view! Very funny. I love food, the good side, I can't really over do but then on the flip side....I can't OVERDO it...haha. I will be hitting Lowes today. I never shop on Black Friday but the Lowes sale had something I want and mom was not finished my Christmas shopping yet, so her and I are going to pick out my last gift.
Yep, that' looks like most everyone's end of the Thanksgiving meal. Well done.
Have a fabulous day not shopping. I'm staying home too. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
I have to have artificial tree due to my pine allergy, but when this one gives up the ghost, my next one will be in the 4.5-5 ft. range. It takes me two days now to do the decorations; one for the tree itself, one for the rest of the house. too.much.work. but I persist. LOL
Glad you had a lovely holiday!
Love the 'after the dinner' concept...... Looks like you all had plenty to eat!!!!! We did too...... But the best part is the TURKEY Sandwiches the day after (which we had for lunch today).... I'd almost rather than that than the big dinner itself.... YUM.....
I'm like you. NO Black Friday shopping for me ---in the stores and even none online..... I hate crowds --and just have never had the desire to shop for sales like this.... SO--we'll both save money!!!!!
I will decorate this coming week for Christmas... I love Christmas --but the older I get, the more I dread decorating.... Once it's done I'll enjoy it. Your new tree is pretty.
Hugs,
Betsy
I confess, I shopped. I bought 2 bottles of juice.
Well, it looks like everyone enjoyed a good meal! I'm glad nobody is showing bloated bellehs today! Hahaha!
How is Wade feeling after his surgery? I hope he is feeling well.
