Angels we have heard on high

Another old Christmas decoration that was a gift from my brother and his wife many many many years ago.

She's a fiber optic tree topper. I don't use her on my tree because I found it too difficult to get her to stay up there but she does sit out every year and she still works

  1. Angels we have heard on high
    Sweetly singing o’er the plains,
    And the mountains in reply
    Echoing their joyous strains.
    • Refrain:
      Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
      Gloria, in excelsis Deo!
  2. Shepherds, why this jubilee?
    Why your joyous strains prolong?
    What the gladsome tidings be
    Which inspire your heav’nly song?
  3. Come to Bethlehem and see
    Him Whose birth the angels sing;
    Come, adore on bended knee,
    Christ the Lord, the newborn King.
  4. See Him in a manger laid,
    Whom the choirs of angels praise;
    Mary, Joseph, lend your aid,
    While our hearts in love we raise.

OH, how gorgeous! I think she would be wasted way up high on a tree. Display her by herself and show off her glory!

That is quite lovely. I would probably keep it on display all year - I am rather fond of angel depictions.

Very pretty. Love the song too.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Ohh Ann, that angel is soooo beautiful but I'm guessing she would be top-heavy, eh? So I can see why you'd display her rather than have her on top of your tree. I love fiber optic stuff, don't you? I have a Christmas tree (2 ft) that is fiber optic and it's one of my favorite decorations each year. Blessings to you, friend! xxx

That is a precious and beautiful angel, and I know you treasure her. Those are such beautiful lyrics. It is nice to see them written down, we often leave out many of the verses when singing. Blessings to you this Christmas.

Now, that is a use for fiber optics that I actually like.

Oh, I think she is too pretty to have her waaaayyy up there on the top of the tree. Best to have her lower so you can admire how pretty she is!
