Winging it

After coming home from work yesterday I think I may have fallen down a rabbit hole because time seemed to disappear. Although that could have something to do with the naps that I took. I decided to just pull an old photo out of the archives for today.

While I was looking through all these old pictures I kept thinking to myself that I need to get back into going out with my camera and really making an effort to take more pictures. Then on top of that I need to spend time editing. I used to really enjoy that and I've gotten away from doing much of it.

It's so easy to get busy with life and forget about the things that bring us pleasure. The last couple of days I've picked up my guitar and it seems like I haven't played it in such a long time. I think we need to make a point of setting aside a little time just for the things we love. If it makes us happy it'll make us better people, because I think when we're happy it becomes contagious. Have a great day!

So sweet! It could be the cover of a book of fairy tales.

I know exactly how you feel Anne. I'm trying to get myself back into gear. Either time or the fact that I just do not feel like doing anything is getting in the way. Even the blog is too much effort sometimes.
Here's hoping we get our mojo back soon.

When life hands you changes that you were not expecting or asking for (like you and I) you tend to lose interest in things that used to make you happy. It felt great yesterday to go out with my camera. Make yourself grab in and take a nice little walk around the block! I read what Crafty Cat Corner wrote about blogging being an effort. I have not found that to be an issue though cause blogging allows me to SIT ON MY BUTT and just type! HAHA...however there were those days that I did not even have a cell phone pic to post so I went to something of interest on PINTEREST. We will get there Ann.....or so I have been told.

sweet little bunny rabbit... I keep saying the same thing to me. as you notice my photos are all taken INSIDE my house. once in a while in the back yard. I keep thinking I will go somewhere and LOOK for photos. keep on trying and one day you will surprise us with new edits and photos... I get what I call edit fever and do it and do it, then stop... just like you.

You've had a TON of change in the recent months, so "normal" and your routine has been askew. You are a great photographer and editor, so I'm glad you want to go back to that. I can't wait to see what you do!!

I just seem to be so slow any more...nothing is as enjoyable as it used to be! And I don't even work. This is a cute pic...and yes, you should take more pics. I would enjoy seeing your world...

Well...my comment disappeared. Figures. It was something earth shattering too.

Anyway, the best part of my comment was: I LOVE THE BUNNY!

Yes, I've been told that as well. I guess it's a matter of discovering just who I am now and where I want to go.

I love the picture, and looking through old ones and posting them is a great way to start. Sometimes little steps are the best way to get started. There's plenty of time, you've had big changes to deal with and resting/recharging your batteries is bound to take a while.

I also think sharing something you enjoy from Pinterest, Facebook, whatever is perfectly legitimate. The main thing is to find things you enjoy, it's like nurturing flowers.

I get it. Life is busy and you also work. I don't take as many photos like I use to, especially not with my camera. I'm usually with my phone. I really feel that the internet and all that is offers to us has taken a part of my life away yet I don't want to leave it!
