Last Friday around 4:00 while I was at work I noticed several cops walking down the street and they had a couple dogs with them. Then they started running. I also noticed a helicopter circling overhead. I had no idea what was going on at the time. I texted my daughter later and she had found a story on Facebook about there being a robbery at a nearby bank.
When I say this was nearby I mean super close. The google map below shows a blue dot path from where I work to the bank location. Where I work is at the bottom of the picture. This is less than a mile away.. I don't think they caught whoever it was or at least I haven't heard anything more about it.

Yikes! That's too close for comfort.
Scary for sure. When I worked at one of our local banks (many years ago) there was actually a man that came in to rob the bank. He came up to the head tellers window and demanded the money (gun in hand) She refused to give him any money and in just a bit, he took off running. We watched him run down the train tracks that were located way in the back of the bank lot. He was caught. lol
That is a bit scary. When I was probably 21 I was robbed at gun point in a store I was working at and I have to say it's a very sobering moment to have a gun pointed at you.
That was close. I hope they catch him! :)

Always very scary to hear of anything like this when you are so close. Glad you were okay.
