I was coming home from work on Friday 9/25. I had just turned down my street when I saw flashing lights. I realized it was the homecoming parade coming up the street. I hoped that I could make it to my driveway before they got there. Thankfully I did.
The street was lined with people ready to watch the parade and little kids armed with bags to collect all the candy that would be thrown from those marching.
Each of the contestants running for homecoming queen rides in a vehicle with her escort. It's sometimes a flashy sportscar, sometimes an antique car or sometimes it's a pickup truck and they're riding in the bed.

You got good photos. A lot of people turned up for it. I guess mostly all of the high school students and parents.
How awesome that you are on the parade routes. I'm sure it could be a bit annoying though if you're trying to get home or leave while it's going on.
I love everything about a parade.

It's pretty neat the parades go right by your house!

I am so glad you made it home in time.
Homecoming is always an exciting time, especially in a small town. Thanks for sharing
