Work in progress

Last year a friend of mine bought me a crocheted potholder. When she gave it to me she said she knew that I could make them.
I finally got around to trying it

This is as far as I've gotten. Not because I was being lazy or couldn't figure it out. It's because I don't have the off white colored yarn for the next row. I thought about going out to get some yarn last weekend but it was just too darn cold and I didn't feel like it. Next trip to the store I have to remember yarn. The one in the upper left corner was the one that my friend gave me.

That's a cute watermelon! It was too cold out yesterday to do anything. Except go to work as I had too... LOL!

I agree on not complaining about the summer heart. But we probably will. ;)

Let us hope spring hurries indeed!

Happy Tuesday Ann!

Alas, I am afraid that I have made another dreadful error in judgment. For I have been encouraging (begging, actually) Arlynda to start checking out different sites in the hope that she will get interested in blogging, and here you are being crafty again. So, she locked on and has refused to go anywhere else but here for at least the time being. Needless to say, Duke and I are in negotiations on what to do about you this time.

How cute! I never did get the hang of knitting.

Very pretty. What a nice gift too. We all can use pot holders.

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

i like it and i am assuming you will make a circle then fold it in half? can't wait to see it, get thee to the yarn store, please.

I doubt I could do circles but I bet I could do some easy peasy squares - I am in desperate need of potholders - my husband bought me some silicone ones and they are beyond useless. I have a ton of yarn - 2 years ago I started to make a blanket and it is still 3/4 done and now of course I don't really need it. I still have 3 skeins of yarn untouched. Maybe I should just unravel the whole thing, make tidy yarn balls and send it all off to you!

Wow, it is really cool and could also be a coaster!!! You could make them and sell them for quite a bit of money! I hope you can do it, and I KNOW that you can!

what a fun idea. I had a friend make a similar one as a top for a hanging towel.

Yes remember the yarn as I definitely would love to see your finish! They are really fun coasters/potholders!

Cute potholder.
Why is it when you want a certain color it's never in your stash?
Oh well who needs an excuse to buy more yarn? Not me!

Love to see it when you finish.

I love watermelons too Ann, but I don't like cold weather either. I'd stay in too.
