Spooning

Wooden spoons are available super cheap at the dollar stores. Not only are they a handy gadget to have in the kitchen but they are quite versatile when crafting.

You can whip up a blizzard of snowmen spoons. Just paint them white and add a cute little face and a scarf to keep him warm.

Are these guys not seriously cute? I also added a little bit of white glitter on some of the edges but it didn't show up too well in the pictures

For a less seasonal look you can also paint them black, glue on some berries and tie on some homespun

Sorry for the blur but the spoon on the left was swinging when I took the picture.

I've got one more spoon project in the works but not ready to reveal it quite yet

I love wooden spoons -- not only to use every single day -- but when they wear out, they are great for crafts. Well done Ann!

You did the faces really, really well - like the one with the crooked smile...and the nose is perfect! I wonder how they would look if you put the faces on the concave side - maybe not so good?

Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. :)

These are adorable, and I think we all could do them! I think I have seen one on Pinterest, but they look SO much better in a group. It would also be cool to make stars on the bowl and then a red handle for the fourth, then hang wooden stars from it.

Awe, very cute! I wonder if you made them smaller if you could put a magnet on the back too? These would even be a great project to do with kids.
Hugs, antonella :-)

I love the black wooden spoons, they have such a 'cottagey' feel to them.

Cute! When you said wooden spoons at first I thought of those small flat wooden spoon shaped slabs we used to get to eat ice cream with.
