On a recent trip to the dollar store I was perusing the isles and came across some plastic bowls and cups that were 50% off the original price of $1.00. I was in a bit of a Halloween mood and liked the purple color of the pieces and knew they would make a good project.
I also grabbed a package of 2 big ugly spiders and headed home
I glued the bottoms of the cup and bowl together and then glued on the spiders. Now all this needs is some Halloween treats and it's ready to go. Not bad for a $2.00 project

Seriously, I'm DOING this!!!! And you thought it up all yourself??
How fun! And great, that the bowl actually fit into the bottom of that cup!
Not sure how the dollar compares with the £1.00 but it sounds really cheap, I love the purple would look good with green grapes in it.

Very creepy!
Way cute is what it turned out to be. Fill it with candy and you're set.
Have a terrific day. My best to Duke. ☺
Now that IS clever!
Imagine being a kid, knocking on a door, and then being offered this to get their candy from! Help yourself - Um, no thanks lady...
Oh my oh my....TWO of my favorites!!! The color purple [sounds like a movie title] and Halloween!!
What a sweet treat Ann. :o)
Alas, it would seem to be getting worse--not better.
I will be checking out my dollar store...great idea. :)
Mom saw those when she went to the dollar store. She got other stuffs she plans to use on our Hal photo shoot. Her favorite is a pumpkin candle holders (yes she bought several). Lots of Golden Woofs, Sugar
that is creative! candies would be nice but they won't last one day in our house.
Okay, that's it, I gotta go to Dollar Tree and see it with new eyes! I never find 'treasures' like that or maybe it's just that I don't see what they can become.
Cute, cute! What a neat idea for a desk at work, give to co-workers, a neighbor. Great project, Ann :)
You're so clever Ann! This would be great for my desk at work. Here I go...off to the $ store again!
You are my hero! A $2.00 project, you could change the colors and go for a Christmas theme, you have something here... Hugs, antonella :-)
Looks great Ann, I love the way you always see a great item out of nothing...not sure I have the vision for this!
