Time flies.....

...even if you aren't having fun.

I was off last week for vacation and yesterday was my first day back at work. It seemed like the week was over before it even got started. It was however, possibly the worst vacation week ever.  That doesn't mean that I was thrilled to go back to work though. That would be pushing it.

So fall is here and it feels like it was just yesterday I  was looking at this pepper plant with it's pretty little buds.

We bought this plant from Home Depot for $8. We didn't get a ton of peppers off of it but enough that we enjoyed some stuffed peppers as well as chopped pepper in several different meals that we made. Sadly it's now looking like it's life is just about over.

I have so many different things that I can blog about, As soon as I get my act together and get pictures ready for posting I'll have something to show you.

I want to thank everyone for your thoughts, prayers and kind words on my last post. I can't tell you how much it meant to me. Even though Duke has moved on from this world he will remain in the hearts of so many. He'll also remain on this blog. I'm sure that I have plenty of pictures left that were never posted as well as some that are worth showing again.

Your macro of the new pepper plant is just lovely; I have never looked at them this closely. The little buds are so sweet and delicate. Yes, Duke will live on in ALL our hearts, he affected a lot of people in a big way.

I'm glad you got some peppers from it. I was surprised with mine how different they tasted from the supermarket versions!
Duke will be in our hearts also, with thoughts of love. xx

Keeping Duke in my heart forever! I know how difficult the week must've been. It's painful losing a beloved pet. Due to our soggy summer, our peppers, not to mention the zucchini didn't turn out so well.

Oh no, you are planning on getting crafty again--aren't you?

I'm looking forward to remembering and keeping Duke in my heart as the weeks pass. He was loved by us all.

That photo of the pepper blossom is fantastic. And stuffed peppers? Yum!! I have made a 'different' kind of stuffed pepper that I really like. I stuff them with rice pilaf with chicken...and it's delicious. Haven't had them in a long time...you've reminded me now....

I grow lots of different kinds and enjoy them in everything I eat. Putting some hot ones in my hashbrowns this morning.

What a lovely pepper plant too. Very healthy looking. You have a green thumb.

I didn't know you were on vacation last week. I must have missed that or you didn't tell us. I know it wasn't a good week for you.

You know how I felt about Duke. He was my buddy. My whole family knows about Duke. I've talked about him more than a zillion times.

Have a terrific day honey. Big hugs. ♥♥♥

We've tried pepper plants before with no luck. They are pretty though!

Duke will always be in our hearts too. He was a special little guy so it's good you'll continue to share him on your blog.

I'm glad you got some peppers off your plant. I've been making stuffed peppers more lately. They are just so yummy!

I'll be looking forward to seeing your pictures of Duke. I said a little prayer for him last night when I lit my candle.

Happy Fall, Ann!! that's a great deal on that plant! the only time I ate tomatoes was off our tomato plant, so much better than the store tomatoes.

I would love to continue seeing Duke. I think that would be good for you. :)
Hugs to you,
Marie

So glad to see you posting again, Ann, although I know it's not easy. It gives all of us a chance to say "hi" and let you know we have been thinking of you.

The plant looks good to me. I notice your green grass. So pretty since we haven't seen much in several years.

I'm glad you will still continue to share Duke's photos. We all loved him so.

I hope that someday you will bring another animal into your life in his memory.

My husband plants a small garden each year and he has so many peppers now we don't know what to do with them. He has green bell, jalapeño, cayenne, and a really nasty one... ghost pepper. It hurts me to look at, let alone eat. haha
Nice photos. :)
