Small wonders

I almost feel like I owe poor Gibbs an apology. I kept telling everyone that I was afraid to put up the tree this year because I just knew he was going to cause trouble.
Notice I said "almost". I won't apologize because I'm sure he's been behaving just to prove me wrong so we're just going to call it even here.

He has been pretty good though. He has made a couple attempts at checking it out but was easily distracted and has for the most part stayed away from it.

That being said I thought I would push my luck and put my snowmen in their traditional spot on the stairs.

I set them up....

...I held my breath. (maybe I should have vacuumed the steps while I was holding my breath)

Aside from a few sniffs he hasn't bothered them at all. I think we are finally coming to an understanding on just who is in charge around here.

You do know that you just cursed yourself, right? Don't be surprised if you come home and the tree and all it's staircase friends are all in a pile in the living room.

Awww! Your snowmen are so cute! At least you know that Gibbs will grow out of his puppy stage. :) Hopefully he's not strong enough to knock over the tree. lol I could see him rolling down those steps with one of those snowmen though. :)

We all know who's in charge. Gibbs is in charge. You know it, we know it and most importantly Gibbs knows it.

Have a terrific day. My best to the boss Gibbs. ♥♥♥

What a GOOD BOY! I do think you owe him a formal apology. In the form of maybe a bone or a new squeak toy..will he have his own stocking? I LOVE your snowmen and remember them from years gone by. But I MUST see them every year, it is a tradition!!! I bought fall and Christmas stuffed owls to sit on our love seat, and the cats have never touched them! And they love stuffed toys, too. Go figure.

Just because Gibbs isn't bothering the decorations doesn't mean you are in charge, he's just not interested.

I absolutely LOVE those snowmen. Oh, to have a collection like that. Well, I don't have stairs anymore so I will just enjoy yours. Have a wonderful week.

I find your unwillingness to let Gibbs help quite disturbing. May the holly-jolly be with you.

I'm sure the Gibbs won't hurt the Christmas tree....He's just too darn cute to ever do something bad!!!!!!!!!!

Good boy Gibbs for leaving everything alone. You get many points for that. See, we knew you could be a good boy
You all have a good evening.

I wonder, are they still in one piece? I admit to being surprised he was able to avoid the temptation, the chewing, the "hey buddy, do you roll down the stairs" I am in charge kind of thing. lol
Hope you are having a fun day... off the work.
Hugs,
Antonella :-)

Holy smokes, Gibbs is showing amazing restraint! Your lovely snowmen wouldn't last two seconds around here, it would be assumed that they were the latest and greatest chewy toys and that would be that :O) Way to go Gibbs!

Those are too CUTE! We're putting our tree up a little later than usual because of our troublemaker kitties. ;-) Glad Gibbs is being a good boy.
