The Documented Life Project

I did it. I really really did it. I finally got myself all caught up on these art journal pages. There are three of them but I'm only going to show one a day. (That gives me three separate blog posts) Plus I'm going to be extremely busy over the weekend and won't have time for blogging. (More on that later)

On with today's post.

Journal Prompt:  There is no place like home

Honestly, I find this one pretty much downright ugly but it is what it is. I printed out a google map of  the town I live in and the heart is over where I live. I cut the letters for the word home using my cricut machine and the key was stamped on with black ink

Well, "they" say that there is a lot about my life that is ugly. Of course, "they" say a lot about a lot of things.

I like the lettering; I was surprised to read it was your Cricut (I though you did it in ink *laugh*). Fun stuff!

I don't think it's ugly. I love the idea of home is where the art is. Very sweet!

No, no, no never say ugly . . . art is not always suppose to be bright and cheery . . . or pretty . . . I like this:)
Have a great weekend.

Ugly! No way! I love how the whole page works together and with creativity using a map is great!

Definitely not ugly! And such a clever use of the map!

Yay on getting caught up! And I disagree my friend, I think this is a great art journal page! Love that you used a map of your hometown and the addition of the heart and the key were the perfect choices. Well done! Deb xo

Love the colors, but you are right... something is missing or out of balance or something. They don't all turn out 100% or how would we learn?
