What's that noise?

Did you hear that? That is the sound of the life being sucked out of me by my 40 hour a week job. The knowledge that I can not afford to be unemployed is the only thing that is making me return every day and to stick with it for 8 agonizing hours ever day.

If I don't comment on your blog today, it's not that I haven't read or enjoyed your post, it's more likely that my brain is incapable of saying anything nice. I'll try and have a better attitude tomorrow but don't hold your breath.

Well aren't I just a little ray of sunshine. How about something more positive.

I'm so sorry that your job is getting you down Ann, it's so hard to motivate yourself when you dislike what you do. Just keep making your art and let it all out and here's hoping something better jobwise will come around soon. Deb xo

I know that feeling... i had a job that sucked my life out for 13 years, the day i retired on SS i danced out the door and across that parking lot... i am wishing you a wonderful day, where all your co workers work and do it right and customers smile at you and don't complain.... my back and feet hurt thinking of your day.. hope that helps a little...

Oh, Ann, I understand completely. I know the feeling of dread in just pulling up to that place each day. Of waking up in the middle of the night hating what I do and the people I do it with each day.

Is there anywhere else you can work? We seriously have to start thinking about change. This is not good.

((hugs))

Like a lot of your commenters, I completely understand what you are feeling. Besides working at a place where every thing I do brings on some form on irritation, I have to park 4 miles away and take a bus into my job! My retirement date is stamped in my brain and I am so looking forward to it!!

Life just isn't fun if you hate your job. Just think Thanksgiving is coming. Hope you have that day off. It will be here soon. Take care.

I'm so sorry you hate your job. I knew you weren't overly fond of being there, but didn't realize that you hated it. Yikes. I hope you can tolerate it better.

Have a good day. Big hugs to you and scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

I think most of us have been there and done that and can empathize. And it does get to the point where we have so much invested in a job we hate (salary, benefits)that changing things seems counter-productive. I have no advice much much empathy.
