Beads

I've been watching videos from stamp tv and recently saw one where they made paper beads and then made a bracelet. Well me being me, I couldn't help but be fascinated by it and of course I wanted to try it. Before I went full force I thought since I have a ton of beads in my stash I would see what I could do with those first.

I bought some seriously cheap stretch cord at Walmart and dug out the beads Sunday night

I don't remember how many I got done on Sunday but then I started making more bracelets on Monday. By the time I packed it up I think I had 11 of them.

Out of all of these my favorites are the red one with the light colored wood beads and the purple one in the front. I think this weekend I'll try and make some paper beads and see how that goes. I still have plenty of beads in my stash to play with too

Nice! I used to make a lot of those kind of bracelets! I've never made beads before so I am looking forward to seeing how yours turn out!

A new craft. I don't recall you ever making bracelets before. Very nicely done.

Have a fabulous day. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

For someone who doesn't usually make jewelry that is an impressive stash of beautiful beads. I like the purple best because - purple - and they look like they are 'flat'. But I admire the wooden bead one, ( large light, smaller dark, large light, smaller dark, 2nd pic, upper right, resting on the purple bracelet). I don't like wearing such a chunky bracelet but I do so like the way this style looks, really catches my eye.

I have a couple paper bead bracelets, the kind that you roll the paper, then finish them shiny. They are very durable! So hard to choose. But my favorites are the all red, and the one in the lower right corner in the first picture.

Stretch cord...that is new to me. Anything like elastic? Probably not.

Love your work.

Pretty....I used to not wear bracelets but then I decided a few yrs ago that every other part of my body that usually holds jewelry was covered so I started wearing them! haha...I have pierced ears, I wear necklaces, toe rings, ankle bracelets....why not bracelets! Since retiring I don't wear this stuff that much unless dressing to go somewhere.

You sure made a lot of bracelets for just trying it out! They turned out great too! I've made a couple using elastic cord before but I'm afraid they'll come apart so I stick to wire and crimps. Are you going to sell these at a show?

I made bunches of paper beads in the past (rolled and glued). They were fun, and I like the sort of natural look you end up with because of the colors- I made them from magazine pages. But they are very lightweight, so the don't necessarily hang nicely.
