Observation

I couldn't take it yesterday. I've been cooped up, other than going to work, far too much lately. I went out, shoveled the driveway and cleaned off the car. I had to let the defrost run for a bit to melt all the ice off the windshield.

Then I headed to Walmart. Not the most fascinating trip, but it got me out.

While shopping I made some observations. Even though this isle is pretty empty, the store was quite busy.

About half the shoppers were with someone else wether it was a friend, child, spouse or other. The other half that were shopping alone were split about equally between men and women.

The men who were shopping all appear to be on a mission. Get in, find what you want and get out.

The majority of the women who were shopping alone were talking on their cell phones while browsing the isles. There was only one shopper that I noticed who was taking picture to use for a blog post.

Ha! what fun it would be to go to Wal-Mart with you and make observations. Quite a few of the Wal-Mart shoppers here are wearing their pajamas. The rest have either waist length beards or whole body tattoos.

I am a huge Target fan and really don't shop at Walmart. I do, however; make the same types of observations at Target! Men are ALWAYS on a mission...In and Out as fast as humanly possible. I like to read labels, browse...leisurely shop. My husband just doesn't get it.

I cannot STAND when women are yacking away on their phones. Can't they just wait til they get outside??? Drives me nuts!

But, at least you got out! :)

heh heh heh on that silly shopper taking cell phone pics. i think i know one personally... now that you mention this, i don't think i have ever seen anyone else taking photos in WM. and i remember getting 2 odd looks when I was taking photos of the Santa Chair a few weeks ago. i shop at 6;30 am on Saturday and there are as many men as women and just like me they are on a mission. i nearly run the talking and browsing women down while darting up and down aisles. I shop by list and at my highest speed

I don't think I have ever stepped foot in a Walmart and we have none anywhere near us - If I absolutely had to go to a Walmart I would have to go to another county or another state (or 2) and actually the other state is closer than the other county.

I'm always amazed that when I've been sick and I send my husband out for things he is always home so fast....LOL! Glad you got out.

I have always said that I would love to just sit in Walmart and take notes...although I would probably be arrested. There is just so much blog fodder in that place! I love Walmart for that reason. BUT...you have to go there with that attitude or it will drive you crazy. I love Walmart for a good chuckle...or 3.

LOL......I wonder sometimes what others think when I have the phone out taking pics and not texting or talking on it. Personally if you are calling to see if something is what someone is wanting (doubt checking) the cell is fine but if you can't go shopping without talking on the phone, then stay home! It kills me to be able to hear someones conversation while they shop. Anyway.....snap on with that cell phone and post us some great pics of Wally World folks! haha....hey what have you done with your new toy?

Yeah, it's fun going for shopping with family and friends. Good to go in weekdays, usually it will be free from crowd.

That sounds like my Dad when he goes shopping! He zooms around like a madman. I can never keep up. :)

People watching! I'm pretty much get in get out, except when away from home and get in a place that may have things I'm looking for and I'll never or seldom be back there again.
