Every year I make an attempt to post every single day. I've come close but always end up missing a few days. I posted every day for the month of January so I'm off to a good start.
Yesterday was cold. It was
When I left work but with the windchill it felt like 5. The store I work in is always cold but the bakery/deli area is always warm because of the ovens and stove. Not yesterday. It felt like the air conditioning was on. I have a jacket that I leave there for when I have to go in the freezer and I wore that most of the day. And in case you're wondering, yes, I told the store manager and his response was, it's always cold. I'm hoping today isn't more of the same.

Replace your jacket with a ski outfit. Maybe they will get the point.
brrrrrrrrrr on the 17.. we are brrrrr at 45 this morning. you could ask the mgr for lined gloves to wear while you work on food. LOL... i hate it when my hands and feet get cold and can't warm them up. grocery stores are cold for sure but i would think the bakery would be warm. don't you just hate it when they give you and answer like he did?
Yes, come to think of it supermarkets are always cool/cold and I think there is a practical reason for that and probably why all the employees in chain supermarkets have store-issued logo long sleeve shirts and jackets. And isn't interesting that the bakery and deli departments are always next to each other and share "backroom" space.
I hope you're not freezing today. I hate working in the cold. The older I get the more I dislike the cold.
Have a fabulous and warm day, Ann. Big hug to you and tons of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥
Working like that is a good way to catch a cold and end up sick. Today we are looking at mid 50s. Then starting tomorrow it drops again. Crazy how it goes. I sat at the hospital with a friend the other day and wore a mask all day....just scared of catching this flu that is going around. Take care and stay warm.
Going to be warm here for one day. that cold goes right through me sometimes, but i still go out.I carry an arsenal of clothing always in my car.
I know what you mean. I'm a wuss when it comes to being chilled! 17°? That's downight close to being a deep freeze!
Clearly the store manager doesn't spend much time in the bakery if he thought that it was normally cold. Hope it's not cold today!
It's freezing at our grocery store too! Last time I went shopping I was shivering. I would huddle by the ovens! :)
Yeah, we need the heat fixed at work when it's single digits outside. Friday night was too cold even for me.
