I haven't been around for a couple days because I've been catching up on some sleep. Wednesday morning the boss asked me if I would come back that night and work 4-9. Being the glutton for punishment that I am, I said yes. It was an easy enough job just standing at the register all night cashing people out.
Between the 13 hour work day and getting Gibbs used to the new routine I have been a bit tired. After work on Thursday I came home and crashed on the couch. Friday was spent napping, lounging, vegetating in front of the tv and a little reading. Not how I had planned on spending that extra day off but it worked.

Hi Ann sounds like you needed a relaxing day ,it doesnt hurt to have a day where you just cruise through doing nothing, hope you have a wonderful weekend my friend xx
Good for you! This is called "taking care of yourself".
It makes a big difference if we have a choice. I'm glad you're resting and taking care of yourself when you are at home.
You are a trooper. I'll give thst. Extra work hours requires sleep!!
to bad the extra OT came when you are training Gibbs, but good for the purse... glad you got the sleep you needed and that doll is so cute and perfect for this post. way to go snappy goat
I dud miss you, but you got to rest at some point....and a few extra bucks always comes in handy.
One of the things we don't seem to be good at is listening to our bodies - when your body says "rest" , you rest. Good for you for listening.
It all sounds good to me and that time lounging is good for you!
yep and I sure needed it
it does help having a choice.
I respond well to extra money in the paycheck...lol
I did listen but honestly if I hadn't it wouldn't have allowed me to do anything else. I was totally wiped out.
Good work, Ann! It is so easy to push on and ignore sleep. I am glad you could rest.
The expression on that little doll is the best. I too enjoy occasional days of rest, I tell people I am nurturing myself.
To be honest, I didn't give myself much of a choice. The body said you WILL sleep...lol
That expression is just pure bliss to me.
Nurturing yourself sounds like a good way to describe it.
That's such a long day! I hope Gibbs is doing better!!
Yes, very long but the last 5 hours went pretty fast. Gibbs is doing pretty good.
Oh Ann, I really think you are working too hard. You should take some "me" time...
Me time sounds wonderful. Unfortunately we are short handed at work so it's difficult to take more than a long weekend which I do have one scheduled.
