Failed attempt

Monday I tried to get myself to do something crafty. I put together a plan for making a card. It involved using the print and cut feature on my Cricut Machine. I picked my design, sent it to my printer and hit print. What came out of my printer was not usable. Obviously I need a new black ink cartridge. That put an end to my crafty attempt for the day. Oh well, I'll try another day.

That line around the picture needs to be black or the cricut machine won't be able to read it. Also the color is really off in the graphic and it has all those lines through it.

Yes, you tried. There's no hurry, in the fullness of time....

Is the ink for your Cricut as expensive as a regular printer? I'm guessing probably more than even a printer. The image has the same appearance as when a regular printer is nearly out of ink. I hate that! I'm sorry your crafting day didn't work out as planned, Ann. *hugs* ~Andrea xoxo

That's called sod's law Anne. The more you try to get in gear the more things seem to get in the way. Don't get down everything will come together for you. Hugs

I don't do any of this kind of thing...so wouldn't know beans about it. A trip to Amazon then, for ink? See, ... dunno.

I hate trying to print something only to find I have ink...or sitting down and starting to sew and not having the right color thread.

Hope you can get a replacement soon so you can get back at it :)

You would love getting all your extra bits and bobs and putting them in a junk journal. It's a fun way to salvage things and keep them. Hope you have a beautiful day!

I am thinking a card was not Meant To Be on that day and time. just think of this as an OUTING to get the ink... 😁

Some days you nail it and other days not so much. It's the fun of trying that counts.

Have a fabulous day, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥♥♥

Hmmm, not quite sure what it is. A Leaf Man? Cute though!

CheerfulMonk, true, no hurry whatsoever

Andrea, this was printed on a regular printer. My Cricut doesn't print, only cut.

Briony, yep except for here in the US we call it Murphy's law

Anni I was going to order from Amazon but I have to run to Walmart Friday after work so I'll just pick it up there.

Grace, we shall see if I ever get back to it.

Sandee, LOL isn't that the truth

Ginny, it was a rather cut graphic of a little girl raking leaves. It sure didn't look so good when it came out of the printer though.

The main thing is you tried. - I think that is a cute image so give it another go. I've had cards that I just can't stand and then I wait a day or so and try again and voila the inspiration just hits. So keep on trying.

that's the kind of thing that would send me on a very long walk...one where no one else is around so I can vent in peace.

I had print something the other day - my printer was telling me the 2 black tanks were completely empty the big RED X - well it printed out just fine...but it wasn't something like art that I would need a good clear print, rather than forms..
