So my daughter and I went to that Christmas in July craft show yesterday. It wasn't very impressive. There weren't very many crafters there at all. After that we decided to go do a little shopping. We went to Michael's, Hobby Lobby, and Christmas Tree Shop. While we were at Christmas Tree Shops I found some Christmas decorations. Since it is Christmas in July I bought a couple

Cute ornaments! Sorry the craft show wasn't as expected but I'm sure you still enjoyed the time with your daughter!
betty
I like the JOY one the best. Sounds like you had such a fun day!
Even though I don't decorate for Christmas, I do love to wander in a Christmas Store. we used to have a beautiful one, but it did not make it through, closed and gone. It is fun to wander with someone so you can point out stuff and talk about it. sounds like a great day out even if the crafters were not there.
I usually start my Christmas painting in July. Next weekend I am going down to the ranch and bring back my art supplies so I can paint from home. Too hot to be down there this summer. I like the ornaments you chose. Wonder why there weren't as many vendors at the craft show? You did well in finding another Christmas shop! Christmas is coming!
I remember when craft shows were in their hayday... as were crafting clubs, etc. Now it seems folks don't have much time for either and it's sad. I haven't been to a craft show in years, maybe decades. I guess that makes me part of the problem, doesn't it. I'll have to change that! I love the decorations you bought at the Christmas shop. Before we know it, Christmas will be knocking on all our doors. Yikes! ~Andrea xoxo
This was an ideal day off. Relaxing, shopping together. A most enjoyable outing.
Sorry the fair wasn't that good. Sounds like fun visiting the stores. Cute ornaments!
Sorry you were disappointed in the craft show but at least you got to be with your daughter. :)
I love looking around Hobby Lobby.
I'm glad you had a great day even if the craft show was a bust. I'm so glad you have your daughter. ❤️
Craftshows are disappointing these days. I think Covid put the nail in that coffin and the shows are just vendor tables now. So sad. I miss the cool finds at craft shows.
I would imagine "costs" are the bane of the craft shows - the businesses that own the buildings and the other sundry add on costs, put paid to the small craftsperson who probably never cover the upfront costs
So much as gone online, like in Etsy and others of similar ways.
I have bought a couple of Christmas ornaments already. Yours look really pretty. I used to love Christmas craft shows, even participated in them selling Christmas ornaments I made years ago. It was fun.
