Lazy and boring.

Yesterday there were places I could have gone but I didn't want to go alone. I stayed home.

There were things I could have done but I couldn't find the motivation to do them.

The most ambitious thing I did was my laundry and that was out of necessity. I spent most of the day reading or playing on the computer. It was a rather lovely day but I no longer find any pleasure in sitting outside.

All of that left me with the dilemma of what to post about today. I dug in the archives and found a video of Gibbs in the pool with Wade. It gave me a code to embed it into my blog but when I tried it, it didn't work. Back to the drawing board. I've come to the conclusion that things have to

around here. If they don't I'll have to close the doors and

the gates on the blog.

Now, believe me, I certainly don't want to do that. I just feel like a

of my former self.

Don't worry, I'm not feeling down, this was just my attempt at a clever post when I had nothing else.

It's off to work this morning for me then I have tomorrow and Tuesday off. Looking forward to the two days but I'm not sure why since I'll probably do nothing again.

Very clever post, Ann. I have to admit, it took me awhile to get "change" lol. Today was my day off and I basically did what you did; read, play on the computer and maybe took a short nap or two, then in the evening went to DIL's for dinner and spending time with grandson. But lazy days like this are good and your body is still healing up from your recent dental surgery. Enjoy the lazy days of summer so to speak. I miss sitting outside. Now we only do it for a bit since it is so warm here. Enjoy Monday and Tuesday off!

I ORDER you not to stop blogging!! Of course you don't feel like doing much, you work hard all day, then have all the housekeeping, laundry and cooking. I certainly could ot do it.

you have just described my life these days. I just got up and since we did not mop floors yesterday because of the ceiling repair, I intended to do it today, halfway through sweeping I thought who cares if its mopped, its not really dirty. finsihed with the broom and here I am and no post today yet.. I am doing the want to go but don't, the searching for something to talk about. I LOVE your Bell Bottom Trousers in your shadow self.. I have several jars of pennies and other change and wonder if I should cash them or save them for when we no longer can use debit cars. Internet Apocalypse, I saw that yesterday it is coming

Hi, I came over here from Sandra's blog... Yeah, I have days like that, too! :)

That was a clever post! Kind of reminded me of those books where there are a few words to read and then a picture. I used to love them and my kids did too! I say just blog when you have something to talk about! Don't put the pressure on yourself to post every day! I totally understand that because I go through it every February when I do the picture a day posts!

We all have days where we not motivated and don't do much more than sit at the computer; but even on those days I prefer to think of them as positive. We're communicating with other people here in blogland and that's almost always a positive thing.

The change thing...had to double back on that. Thought, oh a word or two is missing. But in my defense, I haven't had my 2nd cup of coffee yet, lol.

Are there any sort of craft groups in your area, Ann, that gather together once a week or once a month? A library or senior citizen group that has classes of this sort or that? It sounds to me like you might need some interaction with others (other than work) or something to peak your interest. We have a ceramics shop in the next town over & I've been contemplating going there once a week, to join in on a group paint-in they conduct. But it sounds to me like you need a little "spark" of something new & different to do. I understand **completely** where you're at. And please don't stop blogging! Sharing all aspects of your life is what it's all about...in my view anyway...and life isn't always "beer & skittles", as my mama used to say. We love you, Ann. Hang in there! ~Andrea xoxo

I am right there next to you feeling the same way. I have all the time in the world and can't make myself do anything. I don't know if it is all the social media things that are really getting to me or a condition from the pandemic. It changed me. :( We can move past this and we need to move past this. This world right now is a mess and that doesn't help. ((Hugs)) Thank you for sharing this with us.

I had to think about "change" too. Good post, it made me think. 😊

I know you like to daily blog, but sometimes you just have "time out" - a bit like a holiday where you can't blog because there's no connectioonn.
