Once again, I knew I would never get out of the driveway. The snow at the end was up over my knees. I was walking to work once again. I would have called off but there was no one there to call because I'm the first one in on Sunday.
Heading down the road at 4:00 a.m. I had to keep crossing the road to get out of the way of the plows.
Finally made it to the store. I'm standing at the front door in this next one. Had I been able to get out of my driveway it wouldn't have done me much good because the parking lot hadn't been plowed yet and there was no way I would have gotten in.
Once inside I found this mess on the floor. That is a super soggy ceiling tile laying on the floor in a puddle of water
Thankfully everyone who was scheduled managed to make it in to work. It snowed pretty much all day long.
This is looking out the back door at work around 1:00 pm
Then I went up front and took a picture out the front window.
I was so happy to get back home. I plan on hibernating ALL day today.

Yuck! I'm glad you can hibernate for a day at least. I wish you could retire.
I hate snow!! You know that. Glad you're home safe and can be all day today.
sorry all this happened, butt that said, I love seeing the inside of your store and the view out the front. looks like a hallmark town except they have not put 87 zillion decoraitons up like HM. that whole in the ceiling is in a really bad place. did they call a roofer? can they work in snow? you had the day from H E doulbe LL for sure. today you can snuggle inside, poor Gibbs, hope he has a place to pee today
I would be happy to be home after all that myself. Sounds like you bought your new winter coat just in time. I hope you have a wonderful day hibernating. Those are the best days to me. Your town is so cute.
I would want to hibernate the rest of winter! I hope your boss knows how blessed they are to have you!
Ugh! What a way to start the day! And then to come into that mess? I hope you enjoy your day today!
Yikes, that's a lot of snow. I'm so happy we don't get snow here. You enjoy your day off.
Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
Oh my gosh! Walking to work in heavey snow and slippery streets in the DARK!!! So dangerous! And then to arrive and find part of the ceiling down!! I bet there were almost no customers, too. Poor Gibbs!
Ugh! Sorry you’re having to deal with that Ann. It looks dreadful! Glad you got home okay. Half a mile would seem like a hundred in that weather.
And it isn't even winter yet!!!
Hope you get a warm up and it all melts.
What a nasty mess to walk in on...hope it got fixed soon.

Oh my, that does sound like a lot of snow. I want to say poor Gibbs but he shouldn't have gone in the house. That is a lot of snow and sorry you had to walk to work again. Wow, that's something about the ceiling. Glad no one was hurt but there is definitely an issue that needs to be fixed. Take care.
Wow, wow. That's one soggy ceiling. I'm sorry you're sick of the snow. I'm reading your posts out of order and I think in the last one, just said how much I like the winter this year. I get it though, when it becomes a pain, I get that too.
