I found a free design on Designbundles.net that I wanted to put on a t-shirt. I cut the design, heated up my easy press and got to work.
The design was just a little bit bigger than my press so after the initial press, I moved it over and pressed the remaining part. When I lifted the press off the shirt, that's when I noticed that my placement ruler had been laying there and I melted it BIG TIME. Not only did it ruin the ruler but some of the plastic got ironed on to the sleeve.

Oh my goodness. It perfectly illustrates your saying! I hope they are not very expensive. I love the shirt. Maybe you can get it off by putting it in the freezer; I know that works for gum. And it can't hurt to try.
That's too bad!
The ruler makes an interesting design. I know it's not what you intended, but it does look good.
That's pretty appropriate!
Well that's not good.
Fits the saying perfect and certainly sounds like something that would happen to me.
Oh no, how frustrating, but also, what a perfect example of "perfectly imperfect"! It’s so relatable when things don’t go quite as planned, especially when we’re in the creative zone. I’m sure that design turned out great regardless. I just posted a new blog about Body Confident You: Body Confident Kid, and I’d love for you to check it out and let me know your thoughts when you get a chance: https://www.melodyjacob.com/2025/05/body-confident-you-body-confident-kid-book-review.html. Wishing you smooth crafting (and no more melted rulers)
Perfectly imperfect. Things don't have to be perfect to be wonderful ✨️ ❤️ 😊
Oh no, sorry that happened.
Oh no....well...perhaps this little saying is the perfect reminder that we are all perfectly imperfect...
Ann I am sorry about your ruler...and shirt...hope you are able to wear it...perhaps perfectly imperfect is just what it needs to be friend. Hugs!
Bugger. I hate it when things don't work out.
Have a fabulous day and week, Ann. Big hug to you and lots of scritches to Gibbs. ♥
Well pooh on the ruler. I love the color of the tshirt.
Running late today started at 6:50 am with fasting labs, breakfast, a walk, a trip to Wegmans then home at 11.
Hugs Cecilia
I really like the example of perfectly imperfect. I think it could sell... but sorry and ick on the melting and mess.

Oh NOOOOO!
Oh, that is funny and not funny. The shirt is wonderful - but the ruler. Hmmm. I like Ginny's idea about the freezer.
First off I'm sorry that happened. Secondly after my "cell phone as a stamp pad" story I have to chuckle just a bit. Mainly because it's nice to know I'm not the only one things like this happen too.
I googled it and besides scraping with a dull knife I found this:

An oxymoron! :)
Sorry about your ruler.
Oh no, isn’t that so typical! Sorry that happened Ann.
I hate that for you..
