Sew what part two

Today I'll finish up what I started. And by that I'm talking about more than just finishing showing you what I've been working on.

This first one I started a long, long time ago. I tried to figure out exactly when I started it but couldn't find anything about it on my blog. I must not have ever posted about it. I'm going to take a guess and say that I started this some time in 2013. And now, it's finally done, 12 years later.

The center piece was done with my embroidery machine which no longer works. That's the problem with electronic things.

The worst part about this is that I had it almost finished. All that was left was to sew on those two end strips which were even pinned in place, and then put the backing on.

Next up was something I just played around with. I saw a cute little stuffed cat and decided to see if I could figure it out myself. This is what I found on Pinterest.

I didn't care for the ears on mine, and for some reason he gets skinnier at the bottom. But there he is.

Last but not least is another thing that I was experimenting with using up fabric scraps. I get a daily sewing e-mail and it had a hexagon table mat. I didn't follow the directions in the email, I just looked at the picture and then winged it to give it a try. This one isn't very big but it's a nice size to sit on a table under a candle.

And that is how I've been spending my time.

I love how you're spending your time. The cat is super cute. My grandmother made a lot of those quilted mats and I love them. That will look really cute with a candle sitting on it. Happy Friday!!

Oh goodness! I like them all. Especially your cat--lol! It has more character than the Pinterest ones. Doesn't it feel so good to finish an old project? :)

You are amazing! I would say that your ‘winging’ it has produced the prettiest creations. I love them all!
